Wednesday grocery deals, Feb. 20-26

This week's big news in the grocery world is the Super Doubles coupon event at Harris Teeter, where you can stock your pantry for a fraction of full price.

Even so, Lowes Foods has a few nice deals, including free Green Giant veggie snacks and 5-cent Yakisoba, along with a Procter & Gamble promotion that yields a nice deal on Charmin toilet paper, Duracell batteries and Cascade dishwasher tablets.

At Food Lion, pick up good deals on Buddig lunch meats, French's mustard, Ragu pasta sauce and cantaloupe.

And at Aldi, take advantage of several produce deals, including cucumbers for 39 cents, avocados for 49 cents, grape tomatoes and white mushrooms for just 69 cents per package and two pounds of sweet onions for 89 cents.

Wednesday grocery deals, Jan. 30-Feb. 5

With the Super Bowl coming up this Sunday, it's a great week to stock up on fan-favorite foods like chips, peanuts, popcorn, Chex Mix (free!) and frozen pizza.

And if you have chili or tacos on your Super Bowl menu, you're in luck because you'll also find nice deals on ground beef, taco seasonings, salsa and hot sauce.

But my favorite deal of the week is the 6-pack of Dove Men+Care soap at Harris Teeter. It's on sale for $3.99 this week and there's a coupon for $4/1, making it free. Even better, you may have received a Harris Teeter digital coupon for an additional $3.75 off one package, making it a huge moneymaker.

Cheap milk deal at Harris Teeter

Check your email from Harris Teeter for a Saturday-only E-Vic special on milk -- $2.57 per gallon.

There's a limit of two and the deal is only good Saturday.

Many of the E-Vic specials vary from customer to customer but the Saturday-only and Sunday-only specials seems to be the same for everyone.

I sure hope so because that's a price on milk we haven't seen in a long time.

Wednesday deals (Sept. 21-27)

While Harris Teeter dominated the deals last week with a Triple Coupon promotion, Lowes Foods has got a fantastic 3-day sale that headlines this week's deals. Friday through Sunday, milk will be $2.77 a gallon, boneless chicken breasts will be $1.67 per pound and 5-pound bags of potatoes will be $2. Those are some terrific stock-up prices. Other notable deals: Harris Teeter has several of its Buy 2, Get 3 Free sales, along with numerous BOGO deals. Meats, chicken, shrimp and coffee are all on sale.

Wednesday deals (Sept. 7-13)

It's a great week for deals at both Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods, along with more great prices on fruit at Aldi.

At Harris Teeter, you can't beat the 77-cent ice cream, the 49-cent Entenmann's doughnuts and the 67-cent Kashi entrees!

At Lowes Foods, there's a new sheet of in-ad coupons that are good until Sept. 27. These coupons, when paired with insert coupons, Internet print coupons and Lowes Foods digital coupons, will yield some great deals over the course of the month. Be sure to get yourself an extra copy at the store this week because after that, they'll disappear from the stores. Or, you can do as I usually do, and just have the cashier key in the coupon and keep your sheet of coupons intact. I especially like the 10-cent Old El Paso tortillas and the 25-cent cake mixes and frostings.

As always, read on for a store-by-store breakdown of all the deals. And this week, more than ever, please share the deals you find at Lowes Foods. In some cases, the possibilities are endless so I'd love to hear back from you.

Wednesday deals (Aug. 24-30)

How does (more) free peanut butter, 15-cent pasta,  97-cent produce deals and milk under $3 a gallon sound to you?

Those are among the best deals I found in this week's grocery circulars. Here's a store-by-store breakdown:
