Triangle grocery stores have lots of good deals this week:

*At Harris Teeter, pick up nice deals on strawberries, organic salad, Fiber One cereal (free, plus a moneymaker!), Quaker granola bars and cookies, shredded cheese, Ragu pasta sauce, Blue Bunny ice cream and pre-cut deli meats and cheeses.

*At Lowes Foods, be sure to check out the huge list of BOGO sales on meats and the nice deals on Quaker products, Birds Eye Steamfresh vegetables, Butterball turkey franks and Birds Eye Voila dinners, along with Bonus Gas Rewards deals.

*At Food Lion, there are good deals on Gala apples, cantaloupe, Fresh Express salad, chicken leg quarters, London broil, Coke 2 liters and GM cereals.

*And at Aldi, green peppers are 33 cents each when you buy three, baking potatoes are $1.19 for five pounds and asparagus is $1.79 per pound.

Triangle grocery stores have lots of good deals this week:

*At Harris Teeter, pick up nice deals on orange juice, mustard, pasta, frozen pizza, deli-style sliced cheese and subs from the deli.

*At Lowes Foods, whole chicken fryers are just 77 cents per pound. Plus, you'll find good deals on Chobani yogurt, Tribe Hummus and Russet potatoes.

*At Food Lion, chicken breasts, strawberries, tomatoes, apples, Hunt's pasta sauce, Betty Crocker frosting and All laundry detergent are all bargain-priced this week.

*And at Aldi, cantaloupe are just $1.29 each, a fantastic price. There are also nice prices on multicolored peppers, apples, avocados, spinach and tomatoes.

Grocery deals, April 3-9

Triangle grocery stores have lots of good deals this week:

*At Harris Teeter, pick up nice deals on All laundry detergent, Chobani yogurt, Ball Park franks, McCain potatoes, PictSweet veggies, Triscuits, Bertolli Olive Oil, Fresh Express salad and milk. Also, be sure to check out the Starbucks and P&G promotions.

*At Lowes Foods, score good deals on Ball Park Franks, General Mills cereals, Quaker Perfect Portions oatmeal, Dole Fruit Crisps and Mueller's whole wheat pasta, along with some nice produce deals and more than a dozen opportunities to earn bonus gasoline rewards.

*At Food Lion, pick up nice deals on Turkey Hill ice cream, Fresh Express salad, Butterball turkey sausage, Buddig lunchmeats, Folger's coffee and Weight Watchers frozen dinners, along with Boston butt, green peppers and tomatoes. There's also a four-day sale on Charmin, Bounty, Tide, Lay's potato chips and fresh sausage or brats.

*And at Aldi, pick up bananas for 44 cents per pound, red grapes for 99 cents per pound and a 2-lb. bag of pears for $1.49. That's 75 cents per pound, a fantastic deal.

Good deal alert: Cheap milk at Harris Teeter

Heads up on a great milk deal at Harris Teeter:

Milk will be just $2.57 per gallon this Saturday -- a definite stock-up price.

The deal is good Saturday only when you use your loyalty card.

There's a limit of two gallons and they must be purchased in the same order.

Wednesday grocery deals, Feb. 20-26

This week's big news in the grocery world is the Super Doubles coupon event at Harris Teeter, where you can stock your pantry for a fraction of full price.

Even so, Lowes Foods has a few nice deals, including free Green Giant veggie snacks and 5-cent Yakisoba, along with a Procter & Gamble promotion that yields a nice deal on Charmin toilet paper, Duracell batteries and Cascade dishwasher tablets.

At Food Lion, pick up good deals on Buddig lunch meats, French's mustard, Ragu pasta sauce and cantaloupe.

And at Aldi, take advantage of several produce deals, including cucumbers for 39 cents, avocados for 49 cents, grape tomatoes and white mushrooms for just 69 cents per package and two pounds of sweet onions for 89 cents.

Wednesday grocery deals, Feb. 13-19

There are lots of great deals at Triangle grocery stores this week:

Among the best deals at Harris Teeter: free Chicken of the Sea tuna, free Old El Paso seasonings, 10-cent Liberte yogurt, 31-cent Pillsbury rolls, 49-cent Gorton's fish and Mrs. Butterworth's syrup for 89 cents.

Lowes Foods is offering a deal on discounted gift cards, a gasoline rewards promotion, and a 10 for $10 sale with coupon match-ups that drop prices on many items to 50 cents.

Food Lion has great deals this week on Gala apples, limes, Fresh Express or Dole bagged salad, Roma tomatoes and avocados.

At Aldi, the deals on fresh fruit are fantastic: pineapple and cantaloupe are 99 cents each, as are 16-oz. packages of strawberries, 6-oz. packages of blueberries and 2-lb. bags of lemons. If you've been on the fence about trying Aldi, this is the week to go.

Wednesday grocery deals, Feb. 6-12

Each of the Triangle's grocery stores has its share of excellent deals this week.

Harris Teeter has free Smart Balance Spread and South Beach Diet bars, along with great deals on organic yogurts, Earthbound Farm organic salad, Jolly Time popcorn, Johnsonville Chicken Sausage, Steamfresh veggies and Sea Pak frozen seafood.
You can also pick up milk for $2.97 per gallon, a very nice deal.

Lowes Foods has a gift card promotion that rewards you with a $5 discount off your next shopping order and a nice deal on Hallmark greeting cards. You'll also find good deals on strawberries, Duncan Hines Red Velvet cake mix for just 25 cents, split chicken breasts for 99 cents per pound and Eggland's Best eggs for $1.30 per dozen.
The Fresh Rewards E-Offer is especially good this week: $2.99 after coupon for 12 rolls of Scott's Extra Soft toilet paper.

Food Lion also has a gift card promotion running this week, giving you a $10 discount on $50 in gift cards. You must purchase an additional $10 in groceries to get the deal but a 20 percent discount on gift cards is a very generous offer.
Food Lion has also got good prices on cantaloupe, spiral sliced ham and bone-in chicken breasts.

At Aldi, you'll find some great prices on produce -- $1.29 for pineapple and cantaloupe, strawberries for $1.49 per pound and a five-pound bag of grapefruit for just $1.69.

*Fiber One Raisin Cluster cereal for a nickel at Lowes Foods.
*Nabisco Saltine crackers for 49 cents a box at Lowes Foods.
*12-pack of Scott toilet paper for $3.99 at Food Lion.
*ultra-cheap prices on carrots, multi-colored peppers, onions and mushrooms at Aldi.
