Sunday deals are up! (Jan. 29-Feb. 4)

A new infusion of coupons along with Super Bowl promotions make for an excellent week of deals. You can score bargains on soda, frozen pizzas, M&Ms and nuts. You can also collect several freebies, including greeting cards, chocolate and aspirin. But my favorite deal of the bunch: milk for $2.79 a gallon at Walgreens.

Read on for all the best deals this week at CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Kroger, Kerr Drug, Target and WalMart. These are the deals that stood out to me so please jump in and leave a comment if you spotted a bargain. That way, we can all save.

Database updated with Sunday's new coupons

The News & Observer's  coupon database has been updated with all of today's new coupons.

This Sunday's home-delivered Final Edition of The News & Observer contains two inserts -- one Smart Source and one Red Plum -- for a total of 98 coupons with a face value of about $114.

That's before you double the first coupon, of course, which we have the opportunity to do every day of the week at Kroger, Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods.

In addition to the insert coupons, there are four additional coupons in Parade magazine.

Not familiar with the coupon database? You can access it on the right-hand side of the blog. There's a button at the bottom right to view it as a full-size page.
Or, you can download it as an Excel spreadsheet by clicking on the attachment at the bottom of this post.

It's a handy tool, listing every coupon we receive in the Triangle in the Sunday N&O.

Sunday deals are up! (Jan. 8-14)

With another nice infusion of new coupons this Sunday, there are some great deals, including at least 10 freebies at the drugstores.
Kroger is offering a second week of P&G deals and the lowest price on Kashi products I could find. Plus, don't forget to use your $4 no-strings-attached digital credit that I wrote about here.
And at Target, if you're a fan of Weight Watchers meals, there's a super deal on them for just 79 cents each.
Finally, if you need milk, it's $2.79 per gallon at Walgreens again this week. The only cheaper option is the Smart Balance milk you can score for FREE through Tuesday during Super Doubles at Harris Teeter with today's new coupon.

Sunday deals are up! (Jan. 1-7)

With an infusion of new coupons in Sunday's newspaper, the deals are starting to crank back up this week. I especially like the FREE Nivea lip balm and Skinny Cow candy at CVS, the FREE Triaminic at Walgreens and the 8-cent Softsoap at Kroger. Best of all, however, is the milk for $2.79 a gallon at Walgreens, which doesn't require any coupon at all.

CVS deal alert: Scan your card for free shampoo

Lots of CVS shoppers are reporting that the drugstore's coupon machine is printing out a $2/2 coupon on shampoo, conditioner and styling products this week.

There are lots of possibilities for this coupon. Since it's a store coupon, you can stack it with two manufacturer's coupons to make yourself a better deal on a favorite brand.

If you're interested in scoring a couple of freebies, check the travel section for trial size shampoo or conditioner.

Or you can pick up two full-size bottles of VO5, which is on sale this week for 82 cents each.

Even if you don't care for VO5 products, consider purchasing it for donation to your favorite charity.
