Kroger deals, July 21-27

Look for really nice buys this week at Kroger on milk, grapes, peaches and other seasonal produce, chicken, soda, plus a handful of school supply bargains.

With coupons, you can purchase Michelina's frozen entrees for 68 cents each, Colgate toothpaste for 50 cents and Yoplait Greek yogurt for 80 cents.

Additionally, there are a two bonus gas rewards deals and another Friday freebie on July 26 -- this time around for a tube of toothpaste.

Grocery deals, July 17-23

Here are this week's top grocery deals at Triangle supermarkets:

At Harris Teeter, look for good deals on strawberries, organic lettuces, chicken leg quarters, lunch meats, Kellogg's Mini Wheats, Coke brand 6-packs, McCain frozen potatoes, Blue Bunny ice cream and Thomas' English Muffins.

At Lowes Foods, you can score nice deals on Yoplait Greek 100 yogurt, Michelina's frozen entrees and Reser's deli salads, along with a fantastic deal on Wisk detergent. There are also several opportunities to earn gas rewards. And Cary store customers can save $10 instantly on a $50-plus Lowes Foods to Go order.

At Food Lion, another "Big Deal" promotion is starting, saving you up to $15 instantly on the purchase of select grocery items. Look for "Big Deal" tags on shelves throughout the store. There are also nice deals on Ben & Jerry's ice cream, Lance crackers, whole chickens, London Broil, cherries, potatoes and green peppers.

At Aldi, be sure to check out the produce prices, including peaches, plums, nectarines and grapes all for 99 cents per pound.

Look for really nice buys this week at Kroger on seasonal fruits and veggies, bacon, cheese and soda, along with possible coupon deals on Crest toothpaste and Arm & Hammer laundry detergent.

Additionally, there are a couple of good deals on school supplies, and the prescription and gas rewards deals continue. And don't forget to sign up for another Friday freebie on July 19.

Here's a list of freebies and good deals for the latest round of Super Doubles at Triangle-area Harris Teeter stores. The coupon promotion starts at 7 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, and runs through midnight Tuesday, July 16.

There are more than a dozen freebies.

On top of that, there are great prices this week on milk ($2.97 per gallon), eggs (99 cents) and cherries ($2.49 per pound)!

Harris Teeter is offering shoppers yet another round of Super Doubles coupons this week.

But Lowes Foods, Food Lion and Aldi all have some worthwhile deals:

At Lowes Foods this week, pick up cherries for just $2.97 per pound, Sanderson Farms chicken breasts for $1.99 per pound, Pet ice cream for $1.99, and Pop Tarts for as low as 67 cents per box.

At Food Lion, look for nice deals on pasta, cereals, ice cream, apples, tomatoes and cantaloupe.

And at Aldi, the produce deals include 29-cent cucumbers, a pound of baby carrots for 59 cents, 8-oz. packages of mushrooms for 79 cents and grape tomatoes for just 99 cents per pint.

Confirmed: Harris Teeter Super Doubles for Triangle stores -- yet again

The online coupon forum, AFullCup.com, has confirmed Super Doubles for the Triangle and has posted the ad. I'll have the start of a list of freebies and good deals posted soon.

The latest buzz on the national coupon forums is that Harris Teeter will have another round of Super Double coupons at Triangle stores.

Coupon shoppers on AFullCup.com and HotCouponWorld.com have posted rumors that the event will start this Wednesday, July 10.

Of course, these special coupon promotions are never certain until someone actually sees the ad. I'll keep you posted when I hear the event is confirmed.
