Michael Vick to get a reality show on BET

When you're a celebrity who has messed up or is in need of a career boost, the antidote is the reality show.

So it shouldn't be a surprise that Michael Vick is partnering with BET for an eight-part docu-series scheduled to air early next year, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Tentatively titled "The Michael Vick Project" the show willl spotlight his comeback with the Philadelphia Eagles and deal with his past, including his childhood and his 2007 arrest for funding a dogfighting ring.

NC State's Cullen Jones on 'Real Sports'

Olympic gold medal swimmer and NC State grad Cullen Jones appears in one of the segments on tonight's (10 p.m.) September premiere of HBO's "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel."

"The Swim Gap" explores the relationship between race and swimming in the U.S., and Jones' mission to bring down the number of African-Americans who don't know how to swim.

That gap is significant -- black children drown at a rate more than three times greater than whites and as many as 75 percent of African-Americans don't know how to swim.
