Sunday deals are up (April 8-14)

Free razors, free toothbrushes, 24-cent toothpaste and 49-cent deodorant are among the deals you can snag this week at the drugstores and Kroger.
Walgreens has the new Pepsi Next for just $1.99 per 12-pack, and with the right coupons, Rite Aid has a nice deal on Softsoap products.
Kroger is offering some solid produce deals as well as split chicken breasts for 99 cents per pound.

Also take note that Kroger has milk on sale for $2.88 per gallon, which is not quite as low as Aldi's price ($2.69 through Tuesday) but still a terrific deal.

Happy shopping, and, as always, please post any great deals you spot so we can all save more.

(If you haven't done your Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods or Food Lion shopping for the week yet, you can find those deals, good through Tuesday, here.)

Wednesday deals (Feb. 29-March 6)

There's no shortage of bargains to go after at the grocery stores this week with impressive deals at each of the stores -- many of them under $1. How do you like the sound of eggs for 97 cents a dozen, grapes for 97 cents a pound, toothpaste for a quarter, and a one-pound package of bacon for 49 cents?
In addition, Harris Teeter has got dozens of BOGO sales going on and with any luck, this weekend's coupons will match up with some of those sales. And Lowes Foods has launched an enhanced Fuel Rewards program that you'll want to take a look at. Aldi has its usual assortment of bargain-priced produce. And all of the stores have sales this week on fresh or frozen chicken.

Read on for all the very best deals at Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods, Food Lion, Aldi and Kroger. For easier comparison, I've included Sunday's Kroger deals at the bottom of the post.

Sunday deals are up (Feb. 26-March 3)

Candy and gum deals are plentiful this week as the drugstores start gearing up for Easter sales. Match them up with Hershey's, Nestle, Wonka and Mars coupons and score even better deals.
The drugstores are also offering plenty of freebies to choose from -- Walgreens alone offers eight free items. Also at Walgreens, you'll find a super deal on milk at just $2.79 per gallon, which beats the current deal at Lowes Foods. And don't forget to check out the deals at Kroger, which has excellent buys on frozen entrees, produce and split chicken breasts.

New Sunday coupons = new deals at Harris Teeter

I'm sure I'm not the only one who was hoping for three or four coupon inserts this Sunday to go with Harris Teeter's Super Doubles promo.

But even with just one new Red Plum insert today, there are a handful of coupon match-ups worth noting:

Great produce deals at Aldi this week

The produce deals at Aldi are particularly good this week. How does 89 cents per pound for grapes sound to you? Or a 5-pound bag of grapefruit for $1.19?

(The only time I've gotten grapefruit cheaper is when we had a tree in our backyard in South Florida.)

Here's a complete list of the produce deals Aldi is featuring this week:

UPDATED: Harris Teeter Super Doubles good deals list

Updated 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Harris Teeter's Super Doubles coupon promotion starts Wednesday and runs through Feb. 21 with lots of potential for super good deals. In many cases, we're talking freebies and items for under $1.

I've compiled a comprehensive list specifically tailored to Triangle shoppers by walking the aisles of my local Harris Teeter in Apex to verify prices and sale dates.

If the deal is based on a regular-priced item, I've noted that on the list. If the deal is part of a sale that is continuing, I've indicated that information as well.

All of the coupons listed are among those we received here in the Triangle, along with readily available printables, magazine and tearpad coupons.
