Deal alert on milk and organic cereal

Coupon deals on organic foods are a little harder to come by so here's a big heads up on a nice deal at Lowes Foods available through Tuesday, May 29.

Wednesday deals (May 23-29)

Memorial Day weekend is coming up and the supermarkets have some really nice bargains on all the fixings for backyard picnics. There are deals on ground beef, chicken, produce, paper goods, soda and ice cream.

At Harris Teeter, I especially like the Steamfresh veggies for 19 cents, split chicken breasts for 99 cents per pound and the Breyer's ice cream for $1.
At Lowes Foods, there's free Kraft barbecue sauce and Country Time lemonade or Kool-Aid mix, 20-cent Milky Way candy bars and Sun Drop soda for 25 cents -- all with a little coupon magic.
At Food Lion, be sure to take note of the 20-cent ears of sweet corn and green peppers for 69 cents each.
And finally, Aldi has lots of produce deals, including cantaloupe for just 99 cents each.

For easier price comparisons, I've added the Kroger deals from Sunday to the bottom of the list along with a few new Kroger deals from a new 4-day sale that begins Friday and runs through Monday. Most noteworthy: ground beef for $1.79 per pound and cherries for $3.99 per pound.

Keep reading for all the deals and coupon match-ups. And feel free to add the deals you spot as you're shopping this week.

{Expired} Last chance to win a refillable Kangaroo cup

Centsible Saver has got five cups to give away to blog readers. Leave me a comment or question at the end of this post and you'll be entered to win. I'll pick five winners on Wednesday, May 9.

------------------

Remember last year's buzz over the refillable cups at Kangaroo Express that gave you free soda and slushie refills all summer long?

As you may recall, the cups sold out so quickly at $6.99 each that they soon showed up on craigslist for as much as 40 bucks a pop.

Well, the "Roo Cups" are back for a second season.

Just in time for hot weather, Starbucks is bringing back its "Frappuccino Happy Hour."

Starting Friday, May 4, through May 13, you can purchase one of the blended iced beverages for half price.

Happy hour lasts from 3 to 5 p.m. at particpating Starbucks.

And just so you know, Starbucks has added a new Frapppuccino -- the Mocha Cookie Crumble -- a blend of mocha sauce, frappuccino chips, coffee, milk and ice and topped with whipped cream and chocolate cookie crumbles.

Here's a great deal from Hallmark -- just in time for all those spring card-purchasing occasions.

Head over to the Hallmark website HERE to print a coupon for $5 off any $10 purchase at a Hallmark Gold Crown store.

I'm thinking Mother's Day, Father's Day and those May and June graduations.

A way to score cheaper gasoline

With gas prices in the Triangle hovering at about $3.75 per gallon, Kroger has got perfect timing on its gasoline rewards program.

Now through April 7, you can score yourself up to $1 off per gallon much more quickly with enhanced fuel rewards.

Here's how the promotion works:

Score Kraft Homestyle Mac & Cheese for a dime with this printable coupon

There's a great printable coupon available right now for .75/1 Kraft Homestyle Macaroni & Cheese dinner.

This will pair nicely with the Kraft deal that Harris Teeter is offering this week.

Mix and Match Kraft promotion: Buy any five participating products for $8, which ends up being $1.60 each. (Regular price: $2 each)

Using two of these coupons, you'll pay just 10 cents each for two of your five items!
