Green Hope is expected to have one of the state's best boys cross country teams this fall. One reason for the optimism is plain to see _ Coach Mike Miragliulo has 213 candidates out for the boys and girls teams.

The Falcons were third in the 2007 boys NCHSAA 4-A championships and return six of their top seven runners.

Zak Roshdy finished 13th in the finals. Doug Black was 14th and sophomore Ryan Walling was 16th .
