Database updated with Sunday's new coupons

The News & Observer's  coupon database has been updated with Sunday's coupons, which included a P&G insert and a small Target insert containing coupons that are valid only at Target.

There were also three Duracell coupons from a one-page insert in Thanksgiving Day's paper.

All together we received 57 coupons.

Wednesday grocery deals, Nov. 21

This Wednesday's deals are short and sweet.

Last week's sales at Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods and Food Lion are good through Thanksgiving Day.

Only Aldi is starting new sales today. Click HERE to view the best deals, which are valid through Tuesday, Nov. 27.

Coming up on Friday, the grocery stores will start new sales.

But Lowes Foods is giving us a sneak peek in today's paper. The single-page ad contains12 store coupons that make for some nice deals.

The coupons are valid Friday, Nov. 23, through Tuesday, Nov. 27.

Kroger deals, Nov. 18-24

Many of last week's best deals are repeating this week at Kroger, including good buys on Thanksgiving turkeys, a free milk promotion and a P&G promo that shaves $4 off your order.

You can also pick up sweet potatoes for 39 cents per pound, 16 oz. sour cream for $1 and four pounds of Domino sugar for $1.50.

In addition, Kroger is offering its popular gift card promotion -- valid through Dec. 9 -- that gives you quadruple fuel rewards.

Kroger deals, Nov. 11-17

There are several good grocery buys for under $1 at Kroger this week, including Cool Whip, Stove Top Stuffing, Del Monte Green Beans, Green Giant frozen veggies, Dole pineapple and Campbell's cream soups.

You can also score a free gallon of milk -- or a half gallon of organic milk -- when you buy four select General Mills products. Read my deal idea below on how to get four boxes of cereal and the milk for just $4.

In addition, the 59-cent-per-pound Thanksgiving turkey promotion continues and a new P&G promotion starts, taking $4 off your order when you purchase four participating products.

Sunday drugstore deals, Nov. 11-17

Cough medicine, toothpaste, dish liquid, razors, soda, diapers and Christmas candy are among the bargains you can score at drugstores in the Triangle this week.

With the right coupons, you can also "buy" a couple cans of free Lindsay olives and free contact lens solution.

This Sunday's home-delivered Final Edition of The News & Observer contains two inserts -- one Smart Source, and one Red Plum  -- both of them hefty in size.

All together, there are more than 180 coupons with a face value of more than $170.

Wednesday grocery deals, Nov. 7-13

Deals on Thanksgiving turkeys and all the holiday fixings dominate this week's supermarket circulars. Each of the grocery stores is trying to lure shoppers in with low-price turkeys and sales on canned fruits and vegetables, cranberries, potatoes, dinner rolls, paper plates, vanilla extract, flour, sugar and more.

Harris Teeter also has a killer deal on cereals for 25 cents each and milk for $2.97 per gallon. Lowes Foods is offering bonus gasoline rewards. Food Lion has some worthwhile BOGO deals. And Aldi is offering its $1 whole fresh pineapple along with other stellar produce deals.
