Database updated with Sunday's new coupons

The News & Observer's  coupon database has been updated with this week's new coupons.

Sunday's home-delivered Final Edition of The News & Observer contains two inserts -- one Smart Source and one Red Plum -- with more than 135 coupons.

Not familiar with the coupon database? You can access it on the right-hand side of the blog. There's a button at the bottom right to view it as a full-size page.

Or, you can download it as an Excel spreadsheet by clicking on the attachment at the bottom of this post.

It's a handy tool, giving you the most timely and detailed list of coupons in the Triangle.

Two coupon inserts coming in Sunday's N&O

Look for two coupon inserts -- one Red Plum and a hefty Smart Source in this Sunday's home-delivered Final Edition of The News & Observer.

It's nothing like last week's haul but a nice selection of good coupons -- more than 135 in all, with a face value of $168.

I'll have the coupon database updated and the best Sunday deals posted early Sunday morning, about the same time your paper hits the driveway.

If you've been wondering how to use the database or have other basic coupon questions head over HERE to my Coupons 101 section.

Please note: Single-copy and State Edition papers may not contain all coupon inserts.

Coupon database updated

For those of you folks who like to use the coupon database, you'll be happy to hear it has been updated.

I added the P&G coupons from Dec. 30 and weeded out all the expired coupons so it's ready to download.

I'll update it again over the weekend with the 300-plus coupons we'll receive on Sunday. As usual, it will be ready for you in the wee hours of Sunday morning.

I'm back from my holiday break with fantastic news for coupon shoppers.

You'll find six -- yes, you read that right -- six coupon inserts in this Sunday's home-delivered Final Edition of The News & Observer.

And with Super Doubles at Harris Teeter on-going, it couldn't have come at a better time.

I'll be back to my usual routine of having the

Coupon database is updated

The News & Observer's  coupon database has been updated.

Though there were no coupon inserts in this Sunday's home-delivered Final Edition of The News & Observer, I've deleted the handful of coupons that expired last week, marked this week's expiring coupons in bold, and added the two high-value P&G coupons we received in the Parade magazine.

For a detailed how-to post on the database, read my Coupons 101 post HERE.

Two new coupons but no coupon inserts in Sunday's N&O

For the second week in a row, there won't be any coupon inserts in this Sunday's N&O.

But, just like last week, you will find two high-value Procter & Gamble coupons in Sunday's Parade magazine.

Take advantage of the break to enjoy your holidays and be on the look out for a P&G insert in the Dec. 30 paper.

Rare $1 coupon on fresh cranberries

Coupons on fresh produce are rare so be sure to check out this one for $1 off fresh cranberries.

The coupon for $1 off one bag of Ocean Spray fresh cranberries -- a great discount, especially if you're already planning to cook or bake with cranberries for the Christmas holiday.

The coupon is available on The N&O's Find N Save coupon page HERE.

And remember, you can print two of these.

Harris Teeter has the 12 oz. bag on sale right now for $2.79. Anyone else spot these cheaper?

ANOTHER UPDATE: Looks like Wal-Mart has dropped its price to $1.28, according to a reader, so that means 28-cent cranberries, folks. Fantastic deal.

UPDATE: A reader is reporting that these are $1.98 at Wal-Mart, which means you'd end up paying 98 cents out-of-pocket for fresh cranberries. A fantastic deal.
