Want a shot at a free trip to Paris? Share your 'how we met' story

Anyone who grew up wearing Esprit sweaters and drooling over their ads in Seventeen magazine might appreciate this new contest.

The company wants to celebrate the brand's return to the West Coast with a new store in Santa Monica by searching for couples with the best "how we met" story.

If your story wins, you'll get a trip for two to an Esprit flagship store in Paris, Barcelona or Berlin, a $500 shopping spree and $500 in spending cash.

The contest starts April 2 (with the grand opening celebration at the new store) and runs through April 23.

Share your story at www.esprit.com/howwemet. Don't forget to upload a photo and then pass along the link to your friends so they can vote.

JoBros calling

The Jonas Brothers are playing That There Shed in Raleigh on July 30, and the heartthrob trio's popularity is so ginormous right now that a review is called for. Since the JoBros phenomenon is basically review-proof, we've decided to get a fan to review the concert -- based on who makes the best case for being the right person for the job, in 300 words or less. Entries are due noon Friday, and the winner gets two free tickets; scope details here.

ADDENDUM (7/16/08): This might account for why we've had entries come in from as far away as Malaysia.
