Community (8pm, NBC) - All new comedies tonight on NBC. On "Community," Jack Black tries to join the study group, and Jeff becomes editor of the Greendale Gazette Journal. Doesn't he know newspaper jobs only end in heartbreak? On "Parks & Recreation," Leslie (Amy Poehler) goes on a date with a doctor, played by her real life husband Will Arnett. Then there are two new episodes of "30 Rock." James Franco guest stars as himself in the first one, aggravated that Jenna is pretending to be in a relationship with him.
Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice (9pm, ABC) - It's another crossover night, and the action centers around Addison and Mark McSteamy Sloan, and Mark's pregnant daughter.
Project Runway (10pm, Lifetime) - "Project Runway" returns! And we mean it really returns this time, because it's finally back in New York where it belongs. Now we can try to forget the failed LA experiment that was last season.
Archer (10pm, FX) - You'll get two back-to-back half-hour episodes in the debut of this naughty new animated action series. It's created and produced by a UNC grad, and we think it's definitely worth checking out.
Bones (8pm, Fox) - A man dressed like Santa Claus robs a bank and then blows himself up. Merry Christmas!! More importantly, Zooey Deschanel, real life sister of "Bones" star Emily Deschanel (both at left), guest stars.
Bones (8pm, Fox) - Booth's grandfather (Ralph Waite) moves out of a nursing home and in with Booth, and immediately begins meddling in his personal life and with cases.
For my money, the funniest moment in NBC's two-hour comedy block last night came during Pierce's (Chevy Chase) college rock band debut, playing keyboards and singing backup to Vaughn's woeful song of heartbreak (and moving on), "Gettin' Rid of Britta."

It's Halloween at Glendale Community College, and everyone's excited. We're just seven episodes into this show's strong first season, but we know by now that mass excitement can only lead to disaster. And hilarity.
Real Housewives of Atlanta (10pm, Bravo) - It's part one of two reunion shows featuring the feuding brats of Atlanta. The ridiculous fighting between NeNe and Kim is pretty unbearable at this point, so the only compelling reason to watch this is Kandi, who will talk about how she's dealing with the sudden tragic death of her former fiance, AJ (left).
Community (8pm, NBC) - Jeff has an ulterior motive for urging Troy to join the school's football team, but Annie interferes. Whatever. Just please give me some more Señor Chang (right).
The Office and Community (8 & 8:30, NBC) - If you missed the premieres of NBC's big sitcoms on Thursday, you have been granted a second chance to see two of them tonight. Michael Scott begs you to watch.
Survivor: Samoa (8pm, CBS) - Hard to believe, but this is the 19th season of "Survivor." Tonight, right after being divided into two tribes but before they are even given a chance to speak to each other, they are charged with electing a chief who will make all their decisions.
Bones (8pm, Fox) - The fifth season premieres with Booth (David Boreanaz) fresh from surgery to remove a brain tumor, but suffering from bouts of amnesia. Angela's psychic, played by Cyndi Lauper, tells them there are bodies buried under a fountain in Washington, D.C., so Booth and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) are back on the job asap.
SNL, Parks & Recreation, The Office, Community (8pm-10pm, NBC) - Tonight is NBC's big comedy debut night, starting with "SNL Weekend Update" at 8pm. Amy Poehler will join Seth Myers at the Update desk for the first two weeks. Next is the second season premiere of "Parks & Recreation," in which Leslie (Poehler) accidentally tries to "gay marry" two penguins in a publicity stunt. Comedian Louis C.K. joins the cast as a love interest for Leslie. At 9pm, "The Office" season 6 opens with Dunder-Mifflin staffers gossiping about summer interns. Michael (Steve Carell) feels left out so he goes out looking for a rumor to spread. Then at 9:30 it's the premiere of NBC's new sitcom "Community," starring Joel McHale and Chevy Chase. Here's
