The 17-story CAPTRUST Tower at North Hills has been certified as a LEED Gold structure, the second-highest level in green building certification system.
The tower, built by Duke Realty Corporation and Kane Realty Corporation, was completed in the fall of 2009. The 275,000-square-foot office building sits over a 750-car parking structure and 26,000 square feet of retail space.
The tower's namesake tenant is CAPTRUST Financial Advisors.
LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. The measurement system was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council.
