Parenthood (10pm, NBC) - Lots happening tonight! I hope I don't cry four times while watching it the way I did with last week's episode. Here's what to expect: Julia and Joel prepare for the birth of their/Zoe's son -- but will they get to keep him? Also, Sarah considers moving to New York with Mark, someone makes an offer on the Luncheonette, and Jasmine (Joy Bryant, right) declares her love for Crosby (Dax Shepard, right) while on a camping trip with Jabbar.

Justified (10pm, FX) - As Boyd fights for control of the Harlan oxy trade, Raylan works to keep the battle from becoming an all-out war.

White Collar (10pm, USA) - A wealthy baseball fan plans to steal a valuable piece of memorabilia from Yankee Stadium and recruits Neal to assist.

Southland (10pm, TNT) - A young man set to testify in one of Sammy's cases is killed and Lydia's body is tested when she works as a shift supervisor.

'Clinton': Understanding the Comeback Kid

The American Experience documentary on Bill Clinton, which starts tonight on UNC-TV, opens on the darkest days of the Clinton presidency: in the thick of the Monica Lewinsky scandal as the president sheepishly admits to the American people that he lied about his relationship with the White House intern.

The Lewinsky scandal should have been the knockout blow for Clinton, both personally and professionally. And for most anyone else, it would have been. But not Bill Clinton.

The scandal is touched on briefly at the opening of "Clinton" (and revisited later) because it's the obvious place to emphasize an important recurring theme in Clinton's life -- loss and recovery -- and ask the question, where does Bill Clinton's capacity for Lazarus-like resurrections come from?

Strap manufacturer to add 34 jobs in Clinton

A company that makes packaging straps plans to expand its production facility in Clinton, and create 34 jobs during the next three years.

DuBose Strapping will receive a state grant worth up to $138,000 if it meets hiring and investment milestones, Gov. Bev Perdue's office announced today.

The company opened its Clinton operation in 1991 and now employs 93 people. The facility is located in Sampson County about 65 miles south of Raleigh.

Clinton factory to close as Iowa company folds

An Iowa company that makes athletic clothing is going out of business and will shut a factory in Clinton, N.C., with more than 80 workers.

Dodger Industries will take another six weeks to fill its last orders and sell its assets to repay suppliers and creditors, CEO Stephen Throssel told the Des Moines Register.

He blamed the demise of the company, founded in 1940 as Dodger Gym Co., on foreign competition, shrinking market share and declining clothing prices.

"It's a sad time. We're a family. There's been a lot of crying, a lot of anger, a lot of resentment," he said. "We're grieving."

The company employs 10 people in Iowa, so the bulk of the layoffs will hit the Clinton facility, which Dodger bought in 1994. The factory is located about 65 miles southeast of Raleigh.
