At the end of the day, people just aren't thinking outside the box when it comes to industry jargon.

A new survey released today by accounting and finance staffing firm Accountemps found that senior executives are suffering from jargon fatigue.

A total of 150 senior executives interviewed from the country's 1,000 largest companies were asked, "What is the most annoying or overused phrase or buzzword in the workplace today?"

Among the responses: leverage, viral, it is what it is, game changer, value-add, interface and cutting edge.

Verbal habits we loathe

Some people just can't stand hearing what some other people say, and they are calling on the grammar guide to help put a stop to it.
