Kroger recalls cookie dough

Kroger stores in 26 states, including stores in the Triangle, are recalling 16 oz. packages of Kroger Break ‘N Bake chocolate chip cookie dough.

The cookie dough, with a UPC of 11110 87530 and a “use by” date of Nov. 24, 2013, may contain peanut butter cup cookie dough, potentially causing a serious or life-threatening reaction to anyone allergic to peanuts.

Customers may return opened or unopened products included in the recall for a full refund.

Kroger has removed the product from store shelves and begun to notify customers.

Customers who have questions about the recall may contact ConAgra Foods consumer relations toll free at 800-252-0634.
