McIntyre's Bookstore in Fearrington Village is hosting its next event in the culinary arts and letters series next Thursday.
For $60, you get to enjoy sparkling wine, food and autographed copies of the first two books in the Savor the South series: "Pecans" by Charlotte Observer food editor Kathleen Purvis and "Buttermilk," by The News & Observer food columnist Debbie Moose.
Purvis and Moose will be on hand for the 6 p.m. party at Fearrington's west garden terrace. The Fearrington House restaurant chefs will be serving up a selection of dishes from the books: pecan pimento cheese, buttermilk-pecan chicken, pecan pralines, buttermilk doughnut holes, buttermilk squash soup, sweet tea buttermilk pie and buttermilk pound cake.
