Canadian bottling company expanding Morganton plant

A water bottling company is expanding its operations in Burke County and adding 12 jobs.
Ice River Springs is building an additional 100,000-square-foot warehouse at its facility in Morganton.
Ice River Springs is based in Feversham, Ontario. The Morganton plant, which opened in 2006, was the company's first in the U.S.
It has since added three more facilities in the U.S.
Ice River Springs received incentives from Burke County and Morganton.
No state incentives were involved, but that didn't prevent Gov. Bev Perdue from touting the project in a release today.
“It’s encouraging to see another North Carolina employer continuing to grow and hire new workers,” Perdue said.
“It’s a testament to our commitment to educating our workforce and the fact that North Carolina continues to be a great a location for additional investments by companies already here.”
