So-called biodegradable products are likely doing more harm than good in landfills, according to research released today from N.C. State University.

Cellphones have made watches useless.
But fashion is resilient; watches are now so out, they're in.
Here's one that not only clearly keeps time (no hard to read numbers or lines), but is also organic.
The face is bamboo, the strap, organic cotton, and the case and buckle are completely biodegradable. The battery? Mercury free.
Besides the turquoise and light green, it comes in blue, and black with a silver case.
It sells for $30 at Nordstrom at the Streets of Southpoint. (You can order it on Nordstrom.com and pick it up in Durham.)
