Submitted by AmyDunn on 07/08/2012 - 04:55The News & Observer's coupon database has been updated with all of the new coupons.
This Sunday's home-delivered Final Edition of The News & Observer contains two inserts -- one Smart Source and one Red Plum -- for a total of 92 coupons with a face value of about $86.
Don't let the skimpy sounding totals fool you. There are some great coupons, including a rare .50/1 Original Cheerios, several .70/1 Kellogg's products, a rare .50/1 fruit snack coupon, a coupon on Nestle's new Girl Scout cookie candy bar and a $1/1 Zest body wash coupon that will net you FREE body wash this week at Rite Aid.
And that's just for starters.
Not familiar with the coupon database? You can access it on the right-hand side of the blog. There's a button at the bottom right to view it as a full-size page.
Or, you can download it as an Excel spreadsheet by clicking on the attachment at the bottom of this post.
It's a handy tool, listing every coupon we receive in the Triangle in the Sunday N&O.
For a detailed how-to post on the database, read my Coupons 101 post HERE.

Deal Alert: Milk for $2.79 a gallon this week
Submitted by AmyDunn on 01/29/2012 - 09:00
Need milk?
Starting today and continuing through Saturday, Feb. 4, milk is $2.79 a gallon at Walgreens.
These days, any time you can find milk for under $3 a gallon, you've scored a good deal so $2.79 is a pretty terrific price and the lowest price in Triangle stores right now...at least that I know of.
If anyone out there knows of a better price, please share!!
There's no coupon required at Walgreens, but you are limited to two gallons.
If your Walgreens happens to be out of milk -- and it's bound to happen at this price -- be sure to get a rain check.

Among the best deals: Sister Schubert rolls for 59 cents at Harris Teeter, 20-cent canned Green Giant veggies at Lowes Foods, $1.29 per pound spiral sliced ham at Food Lion and 99-cent pineapples at Aldi. And my personal favorite deal of the week: $3.88 for 5 pounds of Clementines at Food Lion.
