When the season began, Brandon Sutter, Patrick Dwyer, Brett Carson, Zach Boychuk, Steven Goertzen and Justin Peters were all with the Albany River Rats (AHL).
Tonight, in the Canes' final game before the Olympic break, all six will be in the Carolina lineup. Peters will get his second NHL start in goal and get it against the New Jersey Devils as the Canes look to push their winning streak to five games.
Boychuk, recalled Saturday, will be on Sutter's line with Tuomo Ruutu. Boychuk had an assist in both of the Canes' victories against the Buffalo Sabres and New York Islanders that began the winning streak, but was returned to Albany as Ruutu was able to rejoin the lineup this week.
"I thought his last two games, especially the first 30 minutes at Buffalo, he really skated," Canes coach Paul Maurice said of Boychuk. "That's what we've encouraged and kind of challenged him to do."
