TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Scott Wood did not mince words in describing N.C. State's 84-71 road loss to Florida State on Saturday.
The Seminoles, who upset No. 1 Duke three days earlier, were more aggressive, tougher and confident than the Wolfpack in a lopsided ACC contest.
Or, as Wood put it: "They beat the [heck] out of us and we just took it."
After a difficult road loss to Boston College on Tuesday, the Pack had no response against the Noles, especially on defense. FSU's normally plodding offense put up 56 points in the second half, and shot 69.2 percent in the process. All five FSU starters scored at least 11 points with a team-best 16 from forward Bernard James.
