The Umstead Hotel and Spa is offering monthly guided wine tastings called Umstead Uncorked on the last Thursday of every month. 

Sommelier Hai Tran will lead guests through four wines as executive chef Scott Crawford serves up complementary food pairings. The upcoming tastings include:

• "If you like this, try this" on May 31
• Taste Around the United States on June 28
• Exploring the Loire Valley on July 26
• Rediscovering Italy on Aug.30
• Spanish and Portuguese Gems on Sept. 27
• Wines Fit for a Feast on Oct. 25

Cafe Harmony, which bills itself Raleigh's first totally organic cafe and juice bar, will host a free wine tasting starting at 5 p.m. Saturday at the restaurant, 5645 Creedmoor Road.
