Master documentarian Ken Burn's week-long documentary on national parks began last night on UNC-TV, and it has a Tar Heel tie.
Many of the historic photographs show in the six-part series are from the Special Collections of Hunter Library at Western Carolina Univeristy, according to the Asheville Citizen-Times.
WCU/Obama-bear students get probation

The October incident at the UNC system campus in the western reaches of the state drew national attention.
