FINAL 2012-13 NCHSAA Wells Fargo Conference Cup standings

In the final Wells Fargo Conference Cup standings of the year, the following area teams were deemed the champions of their league: Millbrook, Green Hope, Clayton, Jordan, Chapel Hill, Triton, Corinth Holders, Carrboro and Jordan-Matthews.

New conferences will be formed next fall, as it is a realignment year. Those conferences will be set for the next four years.

The N.C. High School Athletic Association announced the standings in the Wells Fargo Conference Cup competitions up to the 2012-2013 winter sports season.

In most conferences, points are awarded based on participation and standings in conference play. Each conference determines its own method of awarding points. Conferences are listed alphabetically by classification.

Below is what the release had for all conferences that include at least one team in the N&O's greater Triangle area.

The N.C. High School Athletic Association today announced updated standings in the Wells Fargo Conference Cup competitions through the 2012 fall sports season.

Each conference cup is awarded based on participation and standings in conference play. Each conference determines its own method of awarding points.

Below, we list the standings from conference that contains Triangle-area teams.

Green Hope, East Chapel Hill, Clayton, Millbrook win conference Wells Fargo

Green Hope, Clayton, Millbrook and East Chapel Hill win area 4A Wells Fargo Conference Cups. Carrboro, Chapel Hill and Corinth Holders also win Conference Cups.

Updated Conference Cup standings

The N.C. High School Athletic Association announced today the Wells Fargo Conference Cup standings through the 2011-12 winter sports season.

Individual conferences determine how points are awarded in the Conference Cup standings. Most often, the points are based on regular-season finish in the league.
