As you may recall, the ice cream, which hails from Texas, recently became available in North Carolina stores.

Tamika Gardner of Raleigh turned her efforts into a cookbook,  "201 Organic Baby Purees: The Freshest, Most Wholesome Food Your Baby Can Eat."

The story caught my eye, of course, because DIY baby food is not only healthier but cheaper. A double play in my book.
