What to Watch on Monday: Nightmare on "Chuck" Street

Chuck (8pm, NBC) - Brilliant casting tonight when Team Bartowski battles a sinister scientist played by Robert Englund (aka Freddy Krueger) who is plotting to release toxins that induce nightmares. Meanwhile, the true allegiances of Chuck's mother (Linda Hamilton) come under scrutiny, and the Buy More gang celebrates Halloween. Morgan Fairchild also guest stars.

Lie to Me (9pm, Fox) - The Lightman Group's expertise is called into question when a woman (Tricia Helfer) plays cat-and-mouse with Cal while he's checking for security leaks at an art museum prior to a major exhibition.

In Treatment (9pm, HBO) - In the third season premiere, Paul begins seeing Sunil (Irrfan Khan), a widower from Calcutta whose relocation to his son's home in New  York is marred by loneliness, depression, and a tense cohabitation with his daughter-in-law (Sonya Walger). In the 9:30 episode, Frances (Debra Winger) plays an actress whose sister is a former patient of Paul's and who visits Paul to discuss her recent trouble remembering lines. Two more episodes air at the same time Tuesday night. Here's our review of the new season.

Thintervention (10pm, Bravo) - In the Season 1 finale, Jackie's clients return from their six-week solo program to participate in their final weigh-in and to celebrate (we hope).

Weeds (10pm, Showtime) - Nancy and her crew relocate to her old stomping grounds, where she reconnects with an old chum (Richard Dreyfuss), while Silas and Shane try to dig up dirt on their mother's mysterious past.

Dude, check it out. It's "Weeds Awareness Week"

The TV Guide Network thinks your life could use a little, uh, enhancement, so they've launched "National Weeds Awareness Week" to address the problems many Americans face in regularly accessing "Weeds." The best part of this news is that the network will celebrate the awareness week with a six-day "Weeds" marathon.

The TV Guide marathon will air from 9pm to 2am each night beginning Sunday, October 17th through Friday, October 22.

What to Watch on Monday: Hal Holbrook shakes up "The Event"

House (8pm, Fox) - House and Cuddy must reexamine their relationship after a visit from House's massage therapist.

The Event (9pm, NBC) - To stop a biological threat, authorities must break Sophia during interrogations. And Hal Holbrook (right) comes onboard tonight as a villainous businessman with knowledge of classified intelligence who butts heads with the President. You know what's hard? Trying to find a picture of Hal Holbrook looking sinister.

Reviving Ophelia (9pm, Lifetime) - A new movie about two sisters (Jane Kaczmarek and Kim Dickens) who support each other as they raise very different teenage daughters, one of whom is in an abusive relationship. Based on the novel by Mary Pipher. Adrienne's review.

Castle (10pm, ABC) - Castle suggest "time travel" as a possible element in the murder of a mathematician shot by a 200-year-old bullet.

Weeds (10pm, Showtime) - The Botwins borrow a page from "Breaking Bad" and move their drug business into an RV, which they park at an old movie set that once depicted a frontier town.

What to Watch on Monday: Gary Cole on "The Closer"

"Dancing with the Stars" Announcement Special (8pm, ABC) - Also known as "Bachelor Pad." The dancers for the upcoming season will be announced at some point during this two-hour herpes distribution experiment.

The Closer (9pm, TNT) - The always great Gary Cole (right) is guest starring tonight as a military officer battling Brenda as she investigates the shooting deaths of three marines who had just returned from Afghanistan. Also of interest, the fallout from Chief Pope's devastating job news at the end of last week's episode.

Real Housewives of New Jersey (9pm, Bravo) - The second part of the two-part finale airs at 9pm (no table-flipping in the first part!) and then at 10pm we get the first part of the reunion show. Don't forget to enter our contest to win Season One of RHONJ on dvd! Today is the last day to enter.

Rizzoli & Isles (10pm, TNT) - Serial killer Charles Hoyt (from the first and best episode so far this season) returns tonight. The sinister slayer who once tried to murder Jane might be at it again when a body with his MO turns up in the park. As Jane's fear deepens, Maura tries to track the killer.

Weeds (10pm, Showtime) - Trying to keep on the down-low in Washington, Nancy, Andy, and Silas take under-the-table jobs at a fancy hotel in Seattle. Nancy also makes a connection with a new supplier, played by Linda Hamilton.

What to Watch on Monday: Showtime night of premieres

Bachelor Pad (8pm, ABC) - A "stomach churning" challenge awaits the remaining 17 contestants. Does that mean they make them watch an episode of this show?

The Closer (9pm, TNT) - Fighting hard for the Chief of Police job, Pope implements a plan to improve the department's public image in the wake of the brutal slaying of a parole board member who was killed during a phone call with Gabriel. All while Brenda, also in the candidate pool, works to solve the murder.

Weeds (10pm, Showtime) - In the sixth season opener, Nancy (Mary Louise Parker) and the boys are on the lam after Pilar's murder. Meanwhile, Andy wrestles with whether or not to take on the "antiabortionist with the crossbow" who has taken Audra hostage at the house in Ren Mar.

The Big C (10:30pm, Showtime) - A new show about a suburban Minneapolis schoolteacher (Laura Linney) with cancer. In tonight's first episode, she struggles to tell her estranged husband, her homeless brother, and her children about her illness. Adrienne gives Linney an A+.

Showtime's "Weeds" coming to basic cable

The critically acclaimed and hilariously offbeat Showtime hit "Weeds" is coming to the TV Guide Network starting in September.

"Weeds" is about a suburban mom (Mary-Louise Parker) who finds herself broke when her husband dies suddenly, and she can't support her children in the lifestyle to which they've become accustomed. She resorts to selling pot to her affluent neighbors (Kevin Nealon) but over time, her involvement in the drug trade escalates. Those escalations are alternately horrifying and hilarious.

The show is pretty profane at times, so it's likely to be heavily edited.

What to Watch on Monday: Country rocks, Weeds rolls to a close

CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock (8pm, ABC) - Pretty much every country music artist you can think of from A-to-Z (from Jason Aldean to the Zac Brown Band) gathers to get their rock on.

Greek (9pm, ABC Family) - In the third season opener of this smart, funny drama, Casey is dealing with Cappie's rejection and Cappie learns of Max's departure. Meanwhile, Rusty's grades begin to slip and he risks being dropped from the honors program.

9/11: Science and Conspiracy (9pm, NGC) - The National Geographic Channel probes common conspiracy theories about 9/11.

Hoarders (10pm, A&E) - It's the horror we can't look away from. Tonight a woman's sick husband is removed their home because of the filth and accumulated junk.

Weeds (10pm, Showtime) - The season finale has Nancy scrambling to secure herself and her future after learning of Esteban's fate, and Andy resolves to make some changes in his decidedly unfocused life. Also, Doug, Dean, and Celia come to an amicable agreement, and Silas decides he must help Adelita.

What to Watch on Monday: Don't do drugs, don't date a drug lord

The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All (8pm, ABC) - This is a two-hour show, which means there will be about 20 minutes of actual interesting content. We only want to hear from the foot perv Tanner and the jerkface Wes. Mostly, they should be talking to Wes, who will have a million reasons why he's misunderstood. The rest will be filler, and I can promise you it will not end before they trot out Trista and Ryan and their babies. DVR it and fast-forward like crazy.

Intervention (9pm, A&E) - This gut-wrenching show looks at people struggling with and ultimately facing up to various forms of addiction, with the help and support of family and friends. Tonight they focus on crystal meth and alcohol

Dating in the Dark (10pm, ABC) - ABC is trying to dress this up and show it off as some sort of social science experiment about how we're all shallow and we want to date attractive people. But what it looks like is a show where strangers get felt up in the dark and then freak out when they see that the person they were just getting cozy with is not so cute.

Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List (10pm, Bravo) - Kathy tries to expand her fan base by performing at The Apollo Theater in Harlem. Not sure that's her audience, but we'll go along. Rapper T.I. and Rev. Al Sharpton appear.

Weeds (10pm, Showtime) - Nancy's delivery date draws near and she learns more about Esteban's other woman and his plans for her after the baby is born. Alanis Morrisette stars as Nancy's obstetrician, who helps her take control of her situation. (Note to self: Do not ever get pregnant with a Mexican drug lord's baby, no matter how cute he is).

What to Watch on Monday: The Closer comes on strong

Jon & Kate Plus 8 (9pm, TLC) - Emeril Lagasse shows up to give the family cooking lessons.

The Closer (9pm, TNT) - The season five premiere is strong, folks. The Major Crimes Division works the gruesome execution style murder of a family, which weighs particularly heavily on Lt. Sanchez. Also, Lt. Provenza is going through a personal crisis (an affair of the heart, it seems), and Kitty is sick. You might want to have a tissue handy -- I cried three separate times.

Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List (10pm, Bravo) - Season five finds Kathy "trying out" a life on the A-List and working connections to get a Grammy nomination. Most of the episode centers around the first victim of Kathy's A-List education -- Bette Midler. Midler, who entertains Kathy while doing her big show in Las Vegas, was a pretty good sport even though it often seemed she wanted to be somewhere else (or with someone else).

Weeds (10pm, Showtime) - Season five premiere for "Weeds" also. Nancy ponders her relationship with Mexican crime boss Esteban.

Nurse Jackie ( 10:30pm, Showtime) - A new black comedy starring Edie Falco as a New York City ER nurse with a painkiller addition.
