Wolverines score key volleyball win

WAKE FORESTWakefield volleyball coach Cynthia Terrell kept looking toward her bench during the Wolverines’ match against rival Wake Forest-Rolesville. Terrell kept substituting players after every few plays, something she didn’t do a lot of last year against the Cougars.

After one rally, Cally Pfeiffer entered the match. Then, a few plays later, Leigh Lamonaca stepped on the court. No matter who played for Terrell, the Wolverines did more than enough to stay undefeated with a 25-16, 25-21, 18-25, 25-20 victory over the Cougars on Monday night.

It wasn’t easy, though.
