Okay ladies, if you think you have what it takes to compete on The CW's popular reality show "America's Next Top Model," then hoof it downtown on Thursday (April 8) for the show's open casting call.
They are looking for "females, ages 18-27, of diverse backgrounds, shapes and sizes" -- unless that shape and size puts you under 5'7" tall (then they're very sorry, but you can keep your petite behind home). There's no weight requirement.
America's Next Top Model returns for another season tonight, and it could prove to be one of the best cycles yet.
I had a little sneak peek last week. And while I’m not normally an ANTM fan, I'm totally hooked. Fans might already know why: It’s the “short” edition. All the models picked for the show are 5 foot 7 or under (which is just silly, really. Wouldn't that mean that most of the women in the world are "short?"). So of course, all the models are extra super grateful to be on the show because most of them know how hard it is to get work in the modeling business if you aren’t over 5 foot 8 inches.
I'm not predicting anything except Nicole is going to cause trouble (her nickname growing up was "Bloody Eyeball" because she was born with a bloody eyeball). Pretty as she is, and as good as she is in front of the camera, she's trouble. And Bianca needs an attitude adjustment. I'm just saying.
The show starts at 8 p.m. on the CW.
ABC has two big diva interviews tonight. First on "Primetime: Family Secrets," Jon Gosselin tells GMA's Chris Cuomo about his marriage to and separation from Kate Gosselin; later on "Nightline," Tyra Banks talks to Cynthia McFadden about some of her successes and controversies.
In the Gosselin "exclusive" interview, Jon isn't wearing an Ed Hardy t-shirt, which is a terrific start. But Jon does tell Chris Cuomo that Kate was verbally abusive to him and that he "despises" her. Cuomo warns him that maybe he shouldn't speak that way about the mother of his children, but Jon doesn't back down.

American Idol star Clay Aiken is appearing as a judge tonight on the Tyra Banks modeling competition show, America's Next Top Model.
Aiken is judging the "acting" competition on tonight's show (remember, he was in "Spamalot" on Broadway). He told People Magazine that he and Tyra are tight, and that "for some reason we just clicked when we first met."
