The real challenge for the Devils may be slowing down Toney Douglas, the Florida State guard who has gone for 25 and 27 points in the Seminoles' two wins here in Atlanta.

• Voting tallies for player, coach, defensive honors

North Carolina junior Ty Lawson has been named the ACC's player of the year, the school announced Tuesday afternoon. Lawson beat out Florida State's Toney Douglas by four votes.

He is the first point guard to win the award since UNC's Phil Ford in 1978.
