"The Sunset Limited" (HBO, 9 tonight) is not your typical Saturday night TV viewing. This is weighty, challenging material, a 90-minute conversation between an atheist and a believer.
It also stars Tommy Lee Jones (also the producer) and Samuel L. Jackson, actors skilled enough to make two men mostly sitting in a tenement debating, dynamic and compelling. Plus, it's based on a play by Cormac McCarthy so the writing is thought-provoking, wry and intelligent.
