It's not a good week for TV moms and dads. First, Barbara Billingsley (the ultimate Fifties mom on "Leave it to Beaver") died over the weekend, and now Tom Bosley, the dad to Richie and Joanie on "Happy Days," has passed.

Bosley was battling lung cancer. He was 83 years old.

On "Happy Days," Bosley played the patient, pragmatic, and often funny Howard Cunningham -- or Mr. C if you were Fonzie. He also starred in "Father Dowling's Mysteries" in the late 1980s.
