What to Watch on Saturday: Lady Gaga wows MSG, Tina Fey hosts SNL

It's Me or the Dog (8pm, Animal Planet) - Victoria helps a contentious couple curb their dog's dangerous behavior to ensure the safety of their three kids.

My Cat From Hell (9pm, Animal Planet) - This new show is sort of the counterpart to 'It's Me or the Dog,' just with a way more incendiary title, and the lives of little children aren't in danger here. In tonight's first episode, a stressed out cat comes between a woman and her boyfriend, and a newly engaged couple deal with his dislike of her cats. The host is hipster cat behaviorist Jackson Galaxy, who is not only a zen cat whisperer, but as we see in tonight's episode, a jerk whisperer, too. Read more about the new show.

Lady Gaga Presents the Monster Ball Tour: At Madison Square Garden (9pm, HBO) - The title sort of says it all. Gaga performs with a 10-piece band and 10 backup singers. The show was taped in February 2011. If you can't wait, you can go ahead and check out some extrended previews and behind-the-scenes clips.

Three Weeks, Three Kids (9pm, Hallmark) - A free spirit (Anna Chlumsky) babysits her sister's kids for an extended period, thanks to a plot by her mother. While helping the kids deal with issues like bullying, popularity, and teenage drinking, the woman also connects with a handsome neighbor (Warren Christie).

Almighty Thor (9pm, Syfy) - A timely new Syfy movie about a hero (Cody Deal) from Valhalla who rises up against a demonic god (Richard Grieco) who threatens to obliterate Los Angeles.

Saturday Night Live (11:29pm, NBC) - Tina Fey is back as the host, and the music guest is Ellie Goulding. There's a rumor Amy Poehler may stop by.

'30 Rock' and Aaron Sorkin's Plan B

A funny (and extremely meta) clip from last night's episode of '30 Rock' featuring Aaron Sorkin and Tina Fey. Sorkin not only created 'West Wing' and won an Oscar for his screenplay of 'Social Network,' but also created the failed (too strong?) NBC drama 'Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip' -- which like '30 Rock,' was  about the production of a weekly comedy sketch show. Hilarious use of the "walk and talk" here:

What to Watch on Wednesday: Tina Fey feted, 'Modern Family' gives thanks

The President's Photographer: Fifty Years Inside the Oval Office (8pm, UNC-TV) - The work of chief White House photographer Pete Souza is explored. The documentary follows him inside the Obama White House, aboard Air Force One, and backstage at the State of the Union.

Kung Fu Panda Holiday Special (8:30, NBC) - Po (voice of Jack Black) is disappointed to learn he'll have to host an even at Jade Palace on his favorite holiday, Winter Feast, which he usually spends with his father. The obligation leaves Po torn between his family traditions and the job he loves. Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, and David Cross all reprise their roles from the 2008 film.

Modern Family (9pm, ABC) - A Thanksgiving visit from Cameron's force-of-nature mother (Celia Weston) makes Mitchell nervous, Phil is distraught over Haley's breakup with Dylan, and Jay's stomach ailment worsens after he and Manny read a medical website. All the ABC sitcoms have special Thanksgiving episodes tonight.

Tina Fey: The Mark Twain Prize (9pm, UNC-TV) - Tina Fey is awarded the 13th Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at the Kennedy Center in Washington. Those paying tribute: Fred Armisen, Steve Carell, Jimmy Fallon, Jon Hamm, Steve Martin, Seth Meyers, Lorne Michaels, Tracy Morgan, Amy Poehler, and Betty White.

The Biggest Loser: Where Are They Now (9pm, NBC) - Upudates on more than 30 contestants from the first nine seasons of the show.

Terriers (10pm, FX) - As Hank, Britt, and Laura Ross unravel the Ocean Beach conspiracy, they put themselves and people around them in danger. Meanwhile, Britt receives assistance from an unexpected source, and Katie learns something new about Britt.

Tina Fey's 'Mark Twain Prize' show airs on UNC-TV

Earlier in November, Tina Fey received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at the Kennedy Center in Washington. An edited version of the ceremony aired on most PBS stations on November 14, and we finally get to see the show this Wednesday night on UNC-TV.

Entertainers who appeared to honor Fey were Fred Armisen, Steve Carell, Jimmy Fallon, Jon Hamm, Jennifer Hudson, Jane Krakowski, Steve Martin, Seth Meyers, Lorne Michaels, Tracy Morgan, Amy Poehler, and Betty White. There's also a funny speech by Fey, but you won't get to see the whole thing (see "edited version" link above).

The show airs at 9pm on UNC-TV, Wednesday, November 24.

Sarah Palin, Tina Fey make TV Guide's Power List

Tina Fey and her sometimes doppelganger Sarah Palin both made TV Guide Magazine's 2010 Power List. Others on the list are Steve Jobs, Jon Stewart, Roger Ailes, Simon Cowell, and of course, Oprah Winfrey.

Read the full list below.

What to Watch on Saturday: Tina Fey hosts SNL

Patricia Cornwell's At Risk (9pm, Lifetime) - In a new Lifetime movie based on a novel by Patricia Cornwell, an ambitious Boston DA (Andie McDowell) sends a detective (Daniel Sunjata) to Tennessee to investigate a decades-old murder in hopes of promoting her tough-on-crime initiative. In case you couldn't guess, this is not a Scarpetta movie. Annabelle Gish and Diahann Carroll also star.

Saturday Night Live (11:30pm, NBC) - Tina Fey has confirmed she will reprise her Sarah Palin impression in her hosting duties tonight. Also, give the kiddies some coffee because Justin Bieber is the musical guest (OMG! OMG! Screeeeech!).

Austin City Limits (12midnight, UNC-TV) - It's a repeat, but still -- it's Kings of Leon and Roky Erikson

"Mad Men," "30 Rock," and Neil Patrick Harris all do well at Emmys

It's Emmy time at last, so I'm settling down in front of the TV to see just how badly I did on my Emmy ballot. If you didn't watch, here's what you missed.

Most favored Emmy host Neil Patrick Harris starts with an intro that sounds like a 1940s newsreel announcer. He then comes out in white dinner jacket and channels Frank Sinatra for his big song, a clever number that implores folks to put down the remote. It's brief and fanastic. The funniest part of the song was the line about how curvy Joan from "Mad Men" could turn a gay man straight, then "Oh wait, there's Jon Hamm."

First Kanye West joke of the night is from NPH: "I hope Kanye likes '30 Rock.'"

NPH gives a tour of the fancy stage and tells us they will present the awards grouped in genres this year. Interesting. First up is comedy and there's a comedy montage that reminds me once again why I do not watch "Two and a Half Men."

ABC's cancelled "Pushing Daisies" wins 3 Emmys

ABC's critically acclaimed (and criminally cancelled) "Pushing Daisies" won three awards this weekend at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. Figures.

Also, Tina Fey won an award for her portrayal of former Governor Sarah Palin on "Saturday Night Live," and Justin Timberlake was the first SNL host to win a guest actor in a comedy series award.

The show's host, Kathy Griffin, who has nicknamed the event "The Schmemmies," was nominated for her Bravo reality show, "My Life on the D-List." Griffin has won in this category for the past two years, but lost out this time to A&E's "Intervention."

Other big winners came from HBO, PBS, and NBC. You can read more about the full list of winners, and Griffin's over-the-top hosting shenanigans.

The show will air on E! on September 18.

McCain camp: Tina Fey is "sexist"

OK, now we've heard everything.

Today on MSNBC, news anchor Andrea Mitchell asked McCain campaign spokesperson Carly Fiorina what she thought of Tina Fey's uncanny impersonation of Sarah Palin on the season premiere of "Saturday Night Live."

And Fiorina said this.

Really.

I swear, this is going to spawn a new breed of jokes.

Q: Governor, what do you think of the Lehman bankruptcy?

A (from a McCain spokesperson): That question is sexist.

By the way, Palin reportedly thought the skit was funny.
