Notes from N.C. State's media day

N.C. State held its annual media day today. Some notes and updates on receiver Bryan Underwood, running back Mustafa Greene and safety Tim Buckley:

Johnson moves to corner, first-team defense for Pack

There was only change from the preseason depth chart on defense for N.C. State in Tuesday's practice. Junior Dontae Johnson practiced with the first team at the boundary corner, while returning starter C.J. Wilson was on the second team.

Johnson is one of the best athletes on the Pack's defense and has played safety, nickleback and a hybrid outside linebacker position.

Penn State's Buckley to transfer to N.C. State

Tim Buckley became the first player to transfer from Penn State's football program on Monday.

Buckley, a safety from Raleigh, will play for N.C. State this season, the school announced on Monday.

Buckley, who has four years of eligibility remaining, was listed as the second-string safety on Penn State's most recent depth chart. He was a star running back at Cardinal Gibbons in Raleigh in 2010 and was recruited by N.C. State out of high school.
