Dancing with the Stars: A sad Situation

Lenni G's recap from last night's elimination show:

Loved it that the judges chose Jennifer and Derek's Argentine tango for the encore dance. Actually, I think it might have been even better the second time.

More entertainment was provided by the Goo Goo Dolls, Macy's Stars of Dance, and the really bizarre Florence and The Machine singing, while dancers did their moves on really tiny, tiny tables.

And in a moment that had to warm Mark Ballas' heart, a rerun of a Kenny Mayne, Jerry Rice and Len sketch was run clearly showing that Len has been, at least once, a shirtless dancing man with a tat and bling. You rock, Len!

On to the elimination ...

Bristol Palin will be "Dancing with the Stars"

Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol Palin has reportedly signed on for the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars" --  a show which continues to bastardize the definition of the word "star."

According to E! Online, the 19-year-old has agreed to do the reality competition show, which begins on September 20. Also competing, according to E!, David Hasselhoff, Audrina Patridge ("The Hills"),  singer/actress Brandy, and The Situation ("Jersey Shore"). E! reports that Kirstie Alley and "Bachelorette" Ali Fedotowsky are so far not signed to the show.

Bristol Palin (pictured here with former fiance Levi Johnston) has also appeared in the ABC Family drama "The Secret Life of the American Teenager."
