What to Watch on Sunday: 'Treme' season finale

Masterpiece Mystery - Poirot: Hallowe'en Party (9pm, UNC-TV) - Poirot and Ariadne Oliver investigate the drowning death of a girl at a Halloween party who had claimed to have witnessed a murder years earlier.

Food Network Star (9pm, Food) - Guy Fieri shows up to film a segment of "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" with the contestants.

True Blood (9pm, HBO) - Sookie reunites with Tara and seeks a solution to her real estate problem. Also, Bill sends Eric to deal with a local coven of witches whose recent experiments could become a problem for the vampire community.

Treme (10pm, HBO) - The second season ends with Jazz Fest 2007.

The Marriage Ref (10pm, NBC) - The judges on tonight's panel are Tracy Morgan, Regis Philbin, and Susie Essman. The topics include an in-home tavern, sexy attire, and a ponytail collection.

Falling Skies (10pm, TNT) - Tom and his crew undertake a mission to retrieve motorcycles and cautiously allow marauder Pope to join them. But while on the mission, they're attacked by a harrowing entity that may be even more formidable than the Skitters.

Amsale Girls (10pm, WeTV) - Kori has an opportunity to work directly with Amsale, who's feeling pressure to meet expectations for her next collection. Meanwhile, Sam tries to control the chaos when the salon is understaffed on a busy weekend.

What to Watch on Sunday: 'True Blood' premieres, 'L&O:CI' says goodbye

True Blood (9pm, HBO) - The fourth season premiere has life going on in Bon Temps without Sookie. Where has Sookie been? I can't tell you or Alan Ball will hunt me down. But I will tell you there's a very awesome guest star in the first episode, which I also can't talk about. Lots of big developments in tonight's debut. Don't miss it.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent (9pm, USA) - In the show's series finale, Goren (Vincent D'onofrio) and Eames (Kathryn Erbe) investigate the murders of two staffers at a web company involved in a heated lawsuit. Their investigation leads to a site that connects strangers who have had brief romantic encounters. I'm really going to miss this one. Bobby Goren has to be one of the great TV detectives of all time, right?

Leverage (9pm, TNT) - Season 4 kicks off with the team pursuing a crooked financier. The catch: in order to take down their mark, they must recover lost evidence high up on a mountain.

Food Network Star (9pm, Food) - The hopefuls must cook for Paula Deen and also feed the cast and crew of ABC's "Cougar Town." Hope they remember the wine.

The Glades (10pm, A&E) - Remember last week when we told you Sharon Lawrence was guest starring as a NASCAR owner who gets pulled into a murder investigation of a mechanic? Well, somehow the episodes got switched up and that one is airing tonight. Tune in! Cameos by NASCAR drivers Carl Edwards, Joey Logano, Tony Stewart, and Brian Vickers.

Falling Skies (10pm, TNT) - Steven Weber begins a guest arc as a doctor who shares a troubling history with Tom (Noah Wyle), but who may also hold the key to saving the kids who have been harnessed by the skitters.

The Marriage Ref (10pm, NBC) - The second season debut has Ricky Gervais, Jerry Seinfeld, and Julianne Moore, weighing in on couples' disagreements.

PBS Previews: Prohibition (10:30pm, UNC-TV) - A preview of the new three-part documentary series by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick. "Prohibition" is slated to premiere in October.

Air your family's business at the fair

Our pal Brooke Cain over on the Happiness Is a Warm TV blog says you can audition for a TV show while at the fair this year.

"The Marriage Ref," the Jerry Seinfeld-produced show in which couples get celebrities to help them figure out their marital problems, will be casting couples for the show on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

"I'm right, he's wrong!" Raleigh casting calls for "The Marriage Ref"

You're having a silly spat with your spouse that you just can't seem to settle. She refuses to let you install a stripper pole in the bedroom. He insists on parking his Harley in the den. You know you're right but your stubborn mate won't budge.

Well, what could be better than having a celebrity declare you to be "right" on national television? How about in addition to your spouse getting that much deserved verbal smackdown in front of the whole country, you also walk away with a cruise, a trip to New York, and $25,000?

Quarreling couples are about to get the ultimate "Toldja!" chance of a lifetime. The NBC reality show "The Marriage Ref," which uses a celebrity panel to settle disputes between married people, will hold open casting calls in Raleigh this week.

What to Watch on Thursday: Tim Conway guest stars on "CSI"

Community (8pm, NBC) - I'm sorry, but this show is way funnier than "The Office" or "30 Rock" right now, so you should be watching. Tonight, Jeff and Brita go head-to-head with school bullies and their moms (Lisa Rinna), and Troy and Abed make a list of goals to complete before graduation.

Parks & Recreation (8:30pm, NBC) - Also funnier than "The Office" and "30 Rock."

CSI (9pm, CBS) - Tim Conway and Jennifer Tilley guest star in an episode in which a legendary comedian is found murdered shortly before he's scheduled to reunite with his old partner.

Private Practice (10pm, ABC) - Violet is back and wants joint custody of Lucas, so Pete (Tim Daly) hires a tough lawyer and everyone in the office faces seeing their private lives made public in court.

The Marriage Ref (10pm, NBC) - The panel tonight includes Sarah Silverman, Matthew Broderick, and Martin Short.

What to Watch on Thursday: NBC comedies return

Community (8pm, NBC) - NBC comedies are all new tonight (finally), but no "Parks & Recreation" (boo). On "Community," Jeff and Troy protest a chicken finger shortage on campus. On the first episode of "30 Rock," Jack must choose between his two loves, played by Elizabeth Banks and Julianne Moore. In the second episode, Liz discovers that the gang hasn't been including her in after-hours gatherings, and is determined to show her fun side. On "The Office," Michael interferes in Andy's romance with Erin, and Oscar's video pointing out the similarities between Kevin's voice and that of the Cookie Monster goes viral.

The Mentalist (10pm, CBS) - Jane's conduct gets a case kicked out of court, and the gang must start all over in their investigation. This is just the kind of thing the new boss warned him would get Lisbon fired...

Project Runway (10pm, Lifetime) - The winning designer is revealed in tonight's finale.

The Marriage Ref (10pm, NBC) - "Marriage Ref" keeps pulling me in with their steady stream of pretty good panelists, so even though it's not a great show, I always watch. Tonight they have one of my favorites, Adam Carolla, and one of my least-favorites, Donald Trump. There's also Gloria Estefan (meh), so I guess I'm tuning in for Adam.

What to Watch on Thursday: "Marriage Ref" keeps drawing big stars

Bones (8pm, Fox) - Brennan and Booth recall their first case together six years ago, when Booth recruited Brennan's team of scientists to back up his theory about a judge.

Marriage Ref (10pm, NBC) - It's a testament to Jerry Seinfeld's star power that this mediocre (at best) show has gotten so many great stars to sit on the marriage panel. I know that's the only reason I keep watching: Every week there's another crop of interesting celebrities, and I keep hoping another show will be as funny as the one with Larry David, Ricky Gervais, and Madonna. Tonight, the recently renewed series features Tracy Morgan, Kathy Griffin, and Nathan Lane. (NBC comedies are all reruns again tonight).

Project Runway (10pm, Lifetime) - The remaining designers must create clothing inspired by the circus in a competition which determines who will advance to Fashion Week.

What to Watch on Thursday: "Mentalist" gets a new boss

The Office (8pm, NBC) - Now I know why "Community" aired their hilarious April Fool's Day episode last week instead of tonight, on April 1: NBC needs for you to have two hours of "Office" repeats. First up, Jim & Pam's wedding, then at 9pm, Jim & Pam have a baby.

Bones (8pm, Fox) - A subway accident reveals the corpse of an author who was embroiled in a love triangle. Meanwhile, Brennan's second book becomes an instant best seller.

Fringe (9pm, Fox) - Walter recalls his experiments in the 1980s as he tries to map out Peter's improbable biography for Olivia. Orla Brady guest stars as Peter's mother.

The Mentalist (9pm, CBS) - The team gets a new boss (Aunjanue Ellis, left, from "True Blood," "Justice," "E-Ring") in the wake of Minnelli's resignation over the Red John bloodath at CBI offices (Gregory Itzin left the show to return to his role as President Charles Logan on "24" -- great job security there, Itzin!).

The Marriage Ref (10pm, NBC) - Doling out advice to troubled married couples tonight: Kirstie Alley, Sheryl Crow, and Jimmy Fallon.

What to Watch on Thursday: Not a great family day on "Community"

Survivor (8pm, CBS) - The two women from North Carolina are still on the island. Tune in to cheer them on (or root against them) and check back here tomorrow for our recap of the show.

Community (8pm, NBC) - An event draws family to campus and Katharine McPhee guest stars as Pierce's (Chevy Chase) stepdaughter, who has a thing for Jeff (Joel McHale).

American Idol (8pm, Fox) - Four more contestants go home tonight.

30 Rock (9:30pm, NBC) - Liz meets Mr. Right at the dentist's office and has to track him down later. Also, Jack learns from Avery (Elizabeth Banks) that NBC could be sold to a cable company, and Jenna tries to help Tracy in his quest to win a Tony.

The Marriage Ref (10pm, NBC) - The only reason I'm watching again is because Larry David, Ricky Gervais, and Madonna make up tonight's panel. I'll watch Larry David and Ricky Gervais in pretty much anything.

What to Watch on Thursday: It's baby time on "The Office"

The Office (9pm, NBC) - The baby! Pam goes into labor at work, Jim freaks out, and they have to rely on Michael to get them to the hospital -- with a red light escort by Dwight, of course. And just the way it happens when someone at your office has a baby, the entire staff stops working to comfort Pam with food and entertainment.

Burn Notice (10pm, USA) - In the third season finale, Michael goes up against a terrorist who is threatening to detonate a bomb in Miami if Michael doesn't cooperate with his plans. To make things even more difficult, the FBI is now following Michael's every move.

Real Housewives of Orange County (10pm, Bravo) - In the season five finale, past and present housewives gather for a party, and what a difference a season makes. This time, Vicki's marriage is on solid ground and Tamra's is falling apart. (One more time: "Tam-RA!")

The Marriage Ref (10pm, NBC) - The only reason to tune in is to see if tonight's show is as awful as Sunday night's sneak preview. I think it will be twice as awful since it's twice as long. If you missed the first mini-episode, here's what happens: comedian Tom Papa shows clips of couples fighting over something stupid and then three celebrities (this week: Tina Fey, Jerry Seinfeld, and Eva Longoria-Parker) crack corny jokes about them, and Tom Papa does a few rehearsed comedy bits. None of this is funny, but there's a laugh track to make up for that. And if that wasn't enough, Natalie Morales (NBC News) and Marv Albert (NBC Sports) pop up now and again, just to make you feel sad for them.

Archer (10pm, FX) - Mallory tells Archer and Lana to steal a princess diamond from ODIN's biggest client in order to embarrass the rival spy agency.
