'The Locator' works to reunite broken families

"The Locator" looks good tonight. Check out the clips below taken from tonight's two new episodes (every episode is a guaranteed tear-jerker). "The Locator" airs at 10pm and 10:30pm on WeTV.

In the first clip, Carina looks for her mom, who abandoned her when she was a toddler:

Click below for a second clip, from an episode in which a young man fulfills his late mother's wish by looking for his long-lost sister.

What to Watch on Saturday: Hallmark movie filmed in Wilmington

Outlaw (8pm, NBC) - A gang shooting at a school results in a student's murder and exposes widespread segregation at the school, triggering Garza's passionate attempt to end the injustice via legal action. Elsewhere, Lucinda surfaces as a prime suspect in a slaying.

America's Most Wanted (9pm, Fox) - The International Manhunt Special Edition show features members of a gang of suspected jewel-heist suspects known as the Pink Panthers, who are wanted by Interpol for robberies around the world. The total haul is estimated at more than $100 million.

Undercover: Double Life (9pm, Discovery) - A phony jewel thief infiltrates the Gambino family as part of an FBI undercover operation.

A Family Thanksgiving (9pm, Hallmark) - A new Hallmark movie (filmed in Wilmington) about a career-driven attorney (Daphne Zuniga, right, "One Tree Hill") who gets a peek at a different path her life could take after she's magically transformed into a wife and mother by a mystical stranger (Faye Dunaway). Stripped of the career that dominates her world, she learns the importance of family and has big decisions to make when she returns to her old life.

Downsized (9pm, WeTV) - The Bruces, a large blended family, are short on their rent and look for ways to come up with cash in the premiere of this reality series following a family as they try to cut their day-to-day expenses. We have a review.

The Locator (10pm, WeTV) - In the Season 5 premiere, Troy Dunn helps a woman get answers from her mother, who left her with an abusive father. Also, an adopted woman looks for her biological mother.

"The Locator" helps Cary woman find her brother

Troy Dunn has made it his life's mission to reunite loved ones and mend broken families. In an episode of "The Locator" airing tonight on WeTV, Dunn helps a Cary woman find a brother she's never even met.

Whitney from Cary, along with her sister Brittany, asked Dunn to help locate the son her mother gave up for adoption when she was an unwed teenager. Her mother, Patricia, moved out of her home as a teen to escape a bad relationship with her father. She became pregnant and wasn't able to care for the baby, but didn't feel it was safe to return home. She kept her pregnancy a secret from her father and gave the baby up for adoption.

What to Watch on Wednesday: Boomer bombshell night on "L&O:SVU"

American Idol (9pm, Fox) - Someone's eliminated, but Usher is the consolation prize.

Cougar Town (9:30pm, ABC) - Jules bonds with Grayson's new girlfriend, played by Sheryl Crow, and pleads with Grayson not to smother her and drive her away. Meanwhile, Jules' fancy new bathroom becomes the talk of the town.

Law & Order: SVU (10pm, NBC) - The case of a woman found murdered in her bed reminds Cragen of a case from thirty years ago. Benson and Stabler question the patrol cop from the case (Jaclyn Smith) and the prime suspect's ex-lover (Ann-Margret, left).

The Locator (10pm, WeTV) - A pair of sisters from Cary look for
their brother, whom their mom put up for adoption after becoming
pregnant as a teen.

In Plain Sight (10pm, USA) - In the season three premiere, Marshall and Mary (Mary McCormack) search for the gang member who shot Mary in last season's finale. Also, Donnie Wahlberg stars as a Boston thief who wants to straighten out his life for the sake of his son. Marshall (Fred Weller, right) is still as funny and charming as ever, and Mary's mother (Lesley Ann Warren) is still just as grating and annoying.

Ugly Americans (10:30pm, Comedy Central) - Mark takes care of an orphaned demon and it triggers Callie's maternal instincts.

What to Watch on Wednesday: "Nip/Tuck" finale and Kathy Griffin on "L&O: SVU"

Modern Family (9pm, ABC) - Lots going on in this ep, but I'm most looking forward to Phil facing his fear of the dark and of bugs as he considers an adventure under the house with Luke.

Law & Order: SVU (9pm, NBC) - As they did with Monday night's "Law & Order," NBC is offering back-to-back "SVU" to fill the Leno void at 10pm. In the first episode, Kathy Griffin guest stars as the leader of a lesbian rights group who assists the detectives as they investigate the murder of a member. And this should get viewers -- Griffin's character shares a kiss with Olivia Benson, played by Mariska Hargitay. In the second episode, Benson and Stabler look into the murder of young prostitutes, and Benson gets emotionally involved when one of the victims, played by Mischa Barton, survives her attack.

The Locator (10pm, WeTV) - Troy Dunn's "track 'em down" show moves to a new night and a new time (I personally liked the Saturday at 8pm slot, but WeTV didn't ask me). In tonight's one-hour season premiere, a young woman searches for the father she hasn't seen since she was three years old, and a mother searches for the daughter she gave up for adoption 40 years ago.

Nip/Tuck (10pm, FX) - "Nip/Tuck" ends tonight after seven over-the-top years on the air. In this final episode, Sean (Dylan Walch) and Christian (Julian McMahon), at right, reflect on their relationship and also remove a curious scar from an elderly Japanese adult film star. There's plenty of personal drama surrounding the guys, as usual, but it should be a satisfying ending for fans.

Oprah Winfrey Oscar Special (10pm, ABC) - Oprah has Oscar winners interviewing other Oscar winners.

"The Locator" takes your questions

Troy Dunn, aka "The Locator," is returning with a new season on March 3, and he has agreed to take some questions from WarmTV readers.

Dunn travels all over the country tracking folks down for the purpose of reuniting loved ones and healing broken families. His motto is "You can't find peace till you find all the pieces."

It's a great show, and several episodes, which air on the WEtv network, have focused on families in North Carolina. Dunn has also appeared on national talkshows, including "The View" and a recent "Oprah Winfrey Show."

What to Watch on Saturday: Halloween programming goes retro

The Addams Family (3pm, WGN America) - WGN America (channel 23 on Time Warner Cable) has a marathon of "The Addams Family" from 3pm to 11pm. Did you know this 1964 TV classic was based on a series of New Yorker cartoons by Charles Addams? Carve out some time today to spend with Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, and Lurch.

The Night of the Living Dead (6pm, AMC) - AMC is showing scary movies all day, but starting at 6pm, they have a marathon of the digitally remastered George Romero 1968 horror classic, "Night of the Living Dead." AMC also has a great Guide to Haunted Real Estate you should check out. The house from "Amityville Horror" still gives me the creeps.

The Locator (9pm, WeTV) - Abruptly transitioning from scary to sweet... In the third season finale, a woman looks for her biological father with the help of her stepfather.  If you haven't already, check out our recent interview with Troy Dunn

What to Watch on Saturday: SVU catch-up night with Rosie Perez

Extreme Sweets (9pm, Food) - Food Network host Adam Gertler (right) tries a sweet so spicy that he has to sign a waiver at a Hollywood candy shop before he can taste it. Gertler also visits Hershey, PA.

The Locator (9pm, WeTV) - A woman who has looked for her mother for nearly 15 years calls on Troy Dunn for help. After a bitter divorce, the woman left her daughter with her ex-husband and has not seen her since.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (10pm, NBC) - If you're like me and don't watch "L&O:SVU" on Wednesdays because it's opposite "Modern Family" and "Glee," tonight is the official catch-up night. This episode is a heavily promoted one featuring Rosie Perez as the wife of a pedophile caught abusing his son.

Austin City Limits (12 midnight, UNC-TV) - Singer-songwriters Andrew Bird and St. Vincent perform.

"The Locator" reunites North Carolina family

Troy Dunn is a man with a mission, and in tonight's episode of "The Locator," that mission to reunite loved ones and heal broken families once again brings him to North Carolina.

Dunn has been locating people professionally for going on 20 years, ever since he helped his own mother track down her birth mother. He knew then that helping people obtain closure -- for better or worse -- was the work he was meant to do. And for the past few years, that work has been chronicled on the emotional and inspirational WeTV show, "The Locator."

What to Watch on Saturday: Gerard Butler hosts "Saturday Night Live"

Sorority Wars (9pm, Lifetime) - A young woman follows in her mom's footsteps and pledges the Delta sorority, but disapproves of their devious ways and goes with their rival. Adrienne says it's drama, drama, drama. Courtney Thorne-Smith and Faith Ford star as moms of sorority girls played by Lucy Hale and Amanda Schull.

The Locator (9pm, We) - A Greensboro family looks for a little girl who lived with them in foster care for five years before the state took her away. The WeTV actually shows a two-hour block of "Locator" eps starting at 8pm, which is great if you're interested in catching up on shows from previous seasons.

Saturday Night Live (11:30, NBC) - Gerard Butler is tonight's host, and Shakira is the musical guest. (Taylor Swift is hosting on November 7, not tonight -- so sorry for the mix-up).
