What to Watch on Saturday: George Lopez special airs live on HBO

NYC 22 (8pm, CBS) - Two episodes tonight. In the first, Kenny and Ahmad search for a suspected rapist at a Harlem block party. In the second, Kenny and Ahmad investigate when an Ivy League student robs the man who mentors him.

An American Girl: McKenna Shoots for the Stars (8pm, NBC) - In a movie based on the American Girl dolls, a confident young gymnast struggles in the classroom, but with the help of family and friends, finds a way to believe in herself again.

My Cat From Hell (8pm, Animal Planet) - A woman, who I will probably judge, is ready to give up on her cat because of its unpleasant disposition.

Bad Dog! (9pm, Animal Planet) - A monkey rides a family dog like a racehorse. Shouldn't that be on a show called "Bad Monkey!"?

True Bloodthirst (9pm, Syfy) - A clash between vampires and humans unfolds in a not-too-distant future where both species coexist openly, with the former subsiding on synthetic blood as the human population begins to dwindle.

George Lopez: It's Not Me, It's You (10pm, HBO) - In his third HBO special, comedian George Lopez delivers observations on the state of Latinos in the United States and talks about "Latino environmental firsts." He's also likely to talk about politics and his visit to the White House. The special comes to you live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Check out this clip of Lopez taking about the special.

The Firm (10pm, NBC) - I think this is it. For real this time. In what I honestly believe to be the series finale, a new enemy will emerge on Ray and Tammy's wedding day, and Mitch will make a startling discovery tied to the Patrick Walker case.

Unstable (10pm, Lifetime) - A newly divorced mom is terrorized by a stalker after she hires a handsome stranger as a caretaker and invites him to live in her guest house.

What to Watch on Saturday: Cat Listener vs. Dog Whisperer

My Cat From Hell (8pm, Animal Planet) - "Cat listener" Jackson Galaxy (left) helps a couple whose cat's mood darkens after they adopt a kitten. Also, a woman's son is afraid of her cat since it has become "meaner" with age. (That's called "crotchety" and it's a right of the elderly.)

Dog Whisperer (8pm, National Geographic Wild) - In the Season 9 opener, Cesar Milan travels to the U.K. to help troubled dog owners, including a 17-year-old who needs help handling his out-of-control Jack Russell terriers. In an episode at 9, Milan meets a pup who must be muzzled in public and a pair of German shepherd littermates who have grown wild and dominant with one another.

NYC 22 (8pm, CBS) - Remember CBS's dull answer to "Rookie Blue?" It's canceled but there are a few unaired episodes, so might as well burn them off. At 8, Yoda recalls his day as a rookie when a drug lord from the 1980s is released from prison and seeks revenge on those responsible for his arrest. At 9, robbers hold up a bar and trap off-duty officers Yoda, Tonya, Ahmad and Apple inside.

The Firm (10pm, NBC) - Speaking of canceled shows getting a summer burn-off, there's another episode of "The Firm" on the schedule.

My Ghost Story: Caught on Camera (10pm, Bio) - A man captures a paranormal animal on video and investigators see the face of a child who drowned. Also, a dead boy stalks two women and spirits inhabit a building that once served the Underground Railroad.

What to Watch on Saturday: It's 'Brady Bunch' vs. 'Partridge Family' in Syfy's 'Bigfoot'

My Cat From Hell (8pm, Animal Planet) - I. Love. This. Show. Season 3 moves  cat behaviorist Jackson Galaxy from California to New York, where in the first episode he helps a couple whose two cats can't be left unsupervised because one of them is viciously aggressive toward the other. That one is actually sad to watch (but happy ending, I promise!). Also, a man and woman disagree on how to deal with their Bengal cat's attacks on its female owner. And in the interest of equal time, don't miss "Bad Dog!" at 9.

Fugitive at 17 (8pm, Lifetime) - A Lifetime movie about a genius computer hacker who is framed for murder and must use her illegal hacking skills to find the real killer and evade the eager detective who is investigating the case.

Bigfoot (9pm, Syfy) - In the latest in Syfy's Summer Saturday film festival, Danny Bonaduce ("The Partridge Family") and Barry Williams ("The Brady Bunch") play lifelong rivals who are both trying to capture Bigfoot as he terrorizes a small town. It's directed by Oscar and Emmy nominee Bruce Davison ("X-Men"). Also stars Sherilyn Fenn ("Twin Peaks"), Howard Hessman ("WKRP in Cincinnati"), Andre Royo (Bubbles on "The Wire"), rocker Alice Cooper and Bigfoot.

StandUp in Stilettos (10pm, TV Guide Network) - Carol Leifer, Christina Pazsitsky and Frangela perform at 10. At 10:30, Paula Bel, Erica Watson and Felicia Michaels.

The Firm (10pm, NBC) - After the U.S. Olympic track and field trials, we get more "Firm." An incident from a client's college days becomes problematic for Mitch, and Abby must decide if she can work for Joey Morolto Jr.

Or you could just watch "Storage Wars" all night on A&E.

What to Watch on Saturday: Daytime Emmys, albino spiders and a 'Tall Hot Blonde'

Daytime Emmy Awards (8pm, Headline News) - The awards show celebrating soaps, daytime talk and children's programs. "The View" executive producer Bill Geddie is presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by Barbara Walters.

Tall Hot Blonde (8pm, Lifetime) - In this new Lifetime movie, a middle-aged father (Garret Dillahunt, "Raising Hope" "Deadwood") poses as a young single marine and begins an online relationship with an 18-year-old girl that leads to the murder of an innocent man. It stars Laura San Giacomo ("Just Shoot Me") as his wife. Courtney Cox ("Friends" "Cougar Town") directs. Check out Adrienne's review.

Arachnoquake (9pm, Syfy) - It pains me even to write this: A movie in which an earthquake unleashes monstrous albino spiders on New Orleans. It stars Tracey Gold ("Growing Pains"), Edward Furlong ("Terminator 2") and appropriately, someone named Bug Hall ("The Little Rascals"). You know it's going to be excellent because it has the same director as the classic Syfy movie "Swamp Shark" (Griff Furst).

Tanked: Unfiltered (9pm, Animal Planet) - An enhanced episode featuring commentary from the crew on a shark tank in an orthodontist office, and a display tank in an appliance store.

The Firm (10pm, NBC) - Chapter Nineteen will allegedly air tonight. Same episode that was supposed to air last weekend but did not: Tonight, Abby has an epiphany as she tries to save her mother's charity from a crooked accountant.

What to Watch on Saturday: Piranhacondas, Cupcakes and the Blue Lagoon

Blue Lagoon: The Awakening (8pm, Lifetime) - Two high school students fall in love while marooned on a deserted tropical island after the girl falls overboard from a ship during a class trip to Trinidad and the boy jumps in to save her. And yes, it's a "reimagining" (I guess) of the Brooke Shields movie from 1980.

Operation Cupcake (8pm, Hallmark) - An Army colonel (Dean Cain, "Lois & Clark") returns home during a military leave but finds it difficult to fit in with his wife (Kristy Swanson) and kids, who've gotten used to not having him around. In an attempt to reconnect, he begins working at his wife's bakery, but his military management style does more harm than good. Adrienne reviews.

Piranhaconda (9pm, Syfy) - Syfy follows up their "Jersey Shore Shark Attack" Summer Saturday movie series with this low-budget gem about a piranha-anaconda hybrid that terrorizes a movie crew after a scientist steals an egg from the creature's nest.  Produced by Roger Corman and starring Michael Madsen and Rachel Hunter.

StandUp in Stilettos (10pm, TV Guide Network) - The premiere of a new series showcasing female comedians. This episode features Mary Lynn Rajskub, Gina Yashere and Sarah Tiana. At 10:30, Arden Myrin, Helen Hong and Lisa Landry.

The Deep End (10pm, Sundance Channel) - Every Saturday night, Robert Redford introduces distinguished independent films of recent years, offering a personal critique of each. Tonight's movie is "The Deep End," in which Tilda Swinton plays a mother who suspects her son has committed a murder and is then blackmailed by a stranger (Goran Visnjic) who claims to know the truth. Winner of the cinematography award at the Sundance Film.

The Firm (10pm, NBC) - For a canceled show, it doesn't seem like this is ever going to end. Tonight, Abby has an epiphany as she tries to save her mother's charity from a crooked accountant.

What to Watch on Saturday: How to burn through a dead TV series

How to Be a Gentleman (8pm, CBS) - Remember this sitcom from Fall 2011, which CBS canceled after only three or four episodes? Me neither. But CBS said they'd burn off the remaining episodes this summer and they are true to their word. New eps tonight at 8 and 8:30 and over the next few Saturdays.

The Firm (9pm, NBC) - Speaking of burning off episodes, NBC still has some episodes of "The Firm" to finish off. Two tonight, at 9 and 10.

River Monsters: Unhooked (9pm, Animal Planet) - A behind-the-scenes look at Jeremy's return to the Himalayas to investigate new reports of river attacks. The trip is complicated when he risks disrespecting local customs that hold the suspected culprit sacred.

Life After Lockup (10pm, MSNBC) - The post-prison lives of inmates featured in "Lockup" are spotlighted in this new series, which opens with a former prisoner who's found love and an ex-con with tattooed eyeballs.

Austin City Limits (Midnight, UNC-TV) - A repeat of the season premiere with British indie group Mumford and Sons.

What to Watch on Saturday: Hallmark's 'Duke' tells of war vet's love for his dog

Duke (8pm, Hallmark Movie Channel) - An original movie in which a troubled veteran (Steven Weber) finds solace in the companionship of his dog, Duke, after leaving his family. But when the dog becomes ill, the man leaves Duke at the office of a compassionate veterinarian -- a move that changes his life in unexpected ways. Read Adrienne's review.

Tanked (9pm, Animal Planet) - The guys install a tank for a tattoo parlor in Las Vegas to soothe nervous customers, and later, a show piece tank for a furniture store in Jamestown, North Carolina.

The Firm (9pm, NBC) - In all the episode guides I can find online, this episode -- Chapter Fifteen -- is the final one listed. So this may be it, "Firm" fans. Tonight, Mitch and Ray make some risky decisions in their bid to expose Kevin Stack and the Noble insurance conspiracy. Meanwhile, Abby finds herself at the center of things as Stack and Alex Clark endeavor to evade justice.

Space Twister (9pm, Syfy) - In this movie, otherwordly storms wreak havoc on Earth and a high-school student's science project may be the key to saving the planet.

Flipped Off (10pm, A&E) - The premiere of a new series about real estate properties in the Houston area that are bought, renovated and sold for profit. These "flipping" shows were all the rage during the housing boom, but I really thought they'd all gone away. Apparently not. In tonight's debut, Russell Hantz and his brother Shawn struggle to make it through their first renovation project together.

What to Watch on Saturday: '20/20' tells tales from Sunset Boulevard

Cats 101 (8pm, Animal Planet) - The Season 4 premiere looks at Kurilian bobtail, chausie, dwelf, Burmilla and lambkin breeds.

20/20: Sunset Boulevard - The American Dream Machine (9pm, ABC) - Jay Schadler (left) reports from the famous 22-mile boulevard that stretches from Beverly Hills to the Pacific Ocean. Tales include a young war veteran who wants to be an actor, teenagers at Hollywood High, and the murder of a Hollywood beauty-turned-runaway. There are interviews with Johnny Depp, Keanu Reeves, Mickey Rourke, Alice Cooper, and Hugh Hefner -- all featured in a recent documentary, "Sunset Strip: The Movie." And also, unprecedented access to the Roxy nightclub, run by Lou Adler and his son Nic.

Alien Tornado (9pm, Syfy) - Aliens attack Earth with deadly electrical tornadoes, and it's up to a farmer, his smart high school daughter and a tornado blogger to thwart the horrific invasion. In other words, we are doomed.

The Firm (9pm, NBC) - Mitch makes a deal with Kevin Stack to keep Abby safe, and the FBI arrests Mitch and Ray. Also, Abby tries to manipulate her captors in a bid to escape.

Paul F. Tompkins: Laboring Under Delusions (11pm, Comedy Central) - A one-hour (too short!) comedy special in which Tompkins discusses some of his former jobs. This is really, really funny. Read more about it here.

What to Watch on Saturday: 'Downton Abbey' creator takes on 'Titanic'

Titanic (8pm, ABC) - The three-hour opener of a new miniseries that uses real and fictional characters to dramatize the events leading up to the luxury liner's sinking in 1912. Tonight, tension between First and Second Class passengers, and a Catholic engineer from Belfast looks forward to his new life in America. This is from Julian Fellowes, the creator of "Downton Abbey." Fellowes gives his upstairs-downstairs treatment to the Titanic story, but the buzz isn't as strong as it was for "Downton." But -- it has Linus Roache (right)! The one-hour conclusion airs tomorrow night at 9.

Must Love Cats (8pm, Animal Planet) - In the season finale, John Fulton visits a kindergarten for kittens (awww!) and cats that help prison inmates.

The Firm (9pm, NBC) - Another random episode of "The Firm!" Mitch and Ray meet with Andrew, who offers to help expose Kinross and Clark to the FBI. Meanwhile, Abby tries to prevent the next murder, and Mitch prepares to take on Kevin Stack. If my math is correct, two more episodes after this one.

Tanked (9pm, Animal Planet) - Season 2 opens with Wayde and Brett visiting a familiar client in New York to install a shark tank in an orthodontist office.

A Night to Remember (10pm, TCM) - This 1958 classic film based on the book by Walter Lord recreates the sinking of the Titanic.

Saturday Night Live (11:29pm, NBC) - Josh Brolin hosts and the music guest is Gotye.

What to Watch on Saturday: Reality series 'Ball Boys' looks at sports memorabilia

NCAA Basketball (4:30pm, CBS) - Games continue with Louisville vs. Florida at 4:30 and Syracuse vs. Ohio State at 7:05. Both games will air on CBS.

Ball Boys (3pm, ABC) - This new reality series about a Baltimore sports memorabilia shop is from the producers of "Pawn Stars." In this first episode, store owner Robbie Sr. searches for a special Notre Dame gift for a client's husband and gets Hall of Famer Jim Brown to authenticate his autograph on a helmet. A second episode airs at 3:30 featuring former Major League Baseball player Pete Rose (pictured at left with store owners).

Must Love Cats (8pm, Animal Planet) - A tour of England features pub cats, a cat with an extremely loud purr, and a cat's long journey from home. Also, a scientist's theory on the outdoor habits of cats.

Q'Viva! The Chosen (8pm, Fox) - Contestants audition at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles, and the judges decide who's moving on to the next round.

Too Cute (9pm, Animal Planet) - Animal Planet gives canines a shot with an episode about fluffy puppies.

The Firm (9pm, NBC) - This episode was preempted last week: Mitch represents a death-row inmate who wants to help the family he wronged, and there are developments in the Sarah Holt case.
