Raleigh's The Daily Planet Cafe offers science talks in July

The Daily Planet Cafeat the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences hosts a series of science discussions this month. Here’s the schedule:

  • “Adventurous Math for the Playground Crowd” will be at 7 p.m. Thursday. The talk is aimed at helping parents and teachers discover more effective ways to teach mathematics in the earliest stages of a child’s life. Info: goo.gl/E6xaa
  • “Ice Cream Science: From Cow to Cone” will be at 7 p.m. July 18. The discussion will be led by Dr. Keith Harris, associate professor of food, bioprocessing and nutrition science at N.C. State University. Info: goo.gl/dWZEy
