What to Watch on Sunday: Slew of new shows premiere tonight

America's Next Great Restaurant (8pm, NBC) - The premiere of a new reality show in which contestants compete to launch a new restaurant chain. Tonight, 21 aspiring restauranteurs pitch their concepts cook items from their menu. 11 contestants will be eliminated. Bobby Flay, Curtis Stone, Steve Ellis and Lorena Garcia serve as investors and mentors. They had a casting call for this show in Raleigh last year, so it'll be interesting to see if anyone from here made it.

Secret Millionaire (8pm, ABC) - Another new reality series. In this one, wealthy people live and work anonymously alongside less fortunate people before revealing their true identities and donating aid to deserving recipients. Tonight we see millionaire Dani Johnson, who says she was on welfare as a child, doing minimum wage work in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Celebrity Apprentice (9pm, NBC) - Sixteen celebrities engage in business-themed battles to win the top job as Donald Trump's apprentice (really, the big prize is a few months of publicity). Tonight, the stars must manage a New York City pizzeria. Here's more info on the C R A Z Y cast.

Army Wives (9pm, Lifetime) - In the Season 5 opener, Denise prepares to meet Jeremy's fiance while caring for her newborn and Emmalin leaves for college.

Daniel Tosh: Happy Thoughts (9pm, Comedy Central) - Daniel Tosh ('Tosh.0') performs in San Francisco and talks about celebrities, sports, immigration, the Amish, and Mormons.

New 'Celebrity Apprentice' is all kinds of crazy (VIDEO)

The new season of 'Celebrity Apprentice' begins this Sunday on NBC, and after seeing the promos, I know I can't resist this particular batch of CRAZY. Just take a look.

The cast is: Gary Busey, NeNe Leakes, LaToya Jackson, Lisa Rinna, Star Jones, Marlee Matlin, Dionne Warwick, Meat Loaf, David Cassidy, Lil' Jon, Jose Canseco, Mark McGrath, Richard Hatch, John Rich, Nikki Taylor, and Hope Dworaczyk.

'Celebrity Apprentice' airs at 9pm on Sunday night on NBC.

Bret Michaels ready for Raleigh

Rocker Bret Michaels plugged tonight's show in Raleigh during his appearance on "Good Morning America" this morning, noting that he was heading this way as soon as he wrapped up his performance there in New York with Miley Cyrus

Michaels, who seems to be doing well after suffering some serious health setbacks this year, took a break from his nationwide tour to perform the Poison hit "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" with Cyrus on GMA. Cyrus covers the hit on her new album, "Can't Be Tamed." She said it's her mother's favorite song.

"The Celebrity Apprentice": Who was meanest to Cyndi?

Happiness has gotten into "The Celebrity Apprentice" (NBC, 9 tonight)
and last week's episode had us talking about who was the was the worst offender on the let's-beat-up-on-Cyndi-Lauper bandwagon.

Let's look at the candidates:

Michael Johnson, the Olympian who thinks good leadership means not listening to anyone and going with your gut, even if you don't know what the heck you're talking about.

As long as you take responsibility for your foolishness, it seems, you're OK. And Donald Trump seemed to co-sign that definition.

Worse, when Lauper tried to explain why Johnson's failed advertorial didn't work, he rudely cut her off using the words of the next candidate...

Observations on "The Celebrity Apprentice"

From watching the first, very fun episode (NBC, 9 tonight)

Rod Blagojevich: The former disgraced Illinois governor adds an interesting element; someone all the celebrities can feel a little superior about. After all, a druggie celebrity is not as bad as a crooked politician. Blagojevich is in it to clear his name (his NBC bio says he was "hijacked" from office) and also to show us he's a good guy. We'll see. Plus his hair trumps Donald's.

Cyndi Lauper: Not a mean bone in her body. A spacey charmer. Love her.

Rosie vs. The Donald: That feud that started when Rosie O'Donnell was on "The View"? Real and not over.

Holly Robinson Peete: Maybe not as intimidating as her husband, former Carolina Panthers QB Rodney, but probably tougher. This is the woman who once knocked down Robin Givens for talking about her mother.

Sinbad: The show's Greek chorus. Look for him to give clarity, even if it isn't needed.
