Today's giveaway might leave you feeling super

Every once in awhile, we can't handle things ourselves. We need a hero.

That's why today we've concocted a DVD 3-pack!

You'll get the "The Cape," the short-lived NBC series about a cop on a corrupt police force who, after he's framed for murder, goes into hiding and becomes The Cape, his son's favorite superhero. It starred David Lyons, Jennifer Ferin and Ryan Wynott. It includes a little more than 7 hours of viewing.

We've put that together with "Ben 10 Ultimate Alien: Escape From Aggregor" Vol. 1 and "Ben 10 Ultimate Alien: The Return of Heatblast." Both are 2 disc sets with 10 episodes each, featuring the teen-age alien who works to save the planet.

So if you need a hero or know someone else who does, send an email by 10 tonight (Dec. 8) and we'll have a random drawing. No heroics necessary.

Canceled: 'The Cape' is snatched. Final episode to air online.

This may not be news to some of you, but I'm just now seeing the notice about 'The Cape' being canceled by NBC. Can't say I'm surprised. I couldn't even make it through one episode. The pilot had decent ratings, but those dropped more and more each week.

The network isn't even airing the tenth and final episode, but it will be available online later this month.

NBC is bringing back 'The Event' on Monday to air in the 'Cape' timeslot.

NBC's midseason shows (VIDEO)

NBC's mid-season schedule has a little Hmm... ("Harry's Law") and a dash of Huh?!? ("The Cape").

"The Cape" may surprise us all, but it looks downright silly. A cop is framed for a crime and disappears, presumed dead by his family and coworkers. He then takes on the identity of a comic book hero to fight crime anonymously. Okaaaaay... "Harry's Law" is another legal drama from David E. Kelley. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of his shows ("Boston Legal," "Private Practice," "Ally McBeal") and this one could be good -- it has Kathy Bates, after all. Kelley isn't afraid to build shows around older actors ("Boston Legal" starred William Shatner and Candice Bergen) and Bates looks good as a burned out, hot shot patent lawyer who starts over as a defense attorney. This feels like a show I will like, but one I maybe shouldn't get attached to. (VIDEOS BELOW)

You won't believe what's replacing "Law & Order"

NBC canceled its 20-year veteran "Law & Order" this week so they could make room for some new pilots. Here's the first promo picture released from one of those pilots, called "The Cape." It's about a cop framed for murder who goes into hiding and is presumed dead, and then starts dressing like a comic book hero and fights crime. Sigh.

Here's a breakdown of other new shows ordered by NBC.
