Terra Nova (8pm, Fox) - In the Season 1 finale, the 11th Pilgrimage reaches Terra Nova, and the Phoenix Group moves ahead with their plan with help from Lucas and Mira. But Taylor and Jim are united against the Phoenix Group. I'm sad to say that even my deep love for Jason O'Mara (right) couldn't keep me interested in his show for a whole season. Any chance ABC can bring back "Life on Mars"? No?

Who's Still Standing (8pm, NBC) - A new game show in which players battle in trivia matches for the ultimate jackpot of $1 million. A player who answers incorrectly is dropped through a trap door. Just because.

VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul (9pm, VH1) - A tribute to the top cities of soul music, including Detroit, Chicago, Memphis, London and Philadelphia. Performers include Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Anita Baker, and Mavis Staples.

The Closer (9pm, TNT) - The team investigates the hit-and-run murder of a girl on a bicycle, and the focus soon shifts to the police commissioner (Mark Moses) and his wife (Elizabeth Perkins).

Rizzoli & Isles (10pm, TNT) - Jane works the stabbing death of a star dancer's mother, while Korsak's stepson is accused of shooting a cop. Lolita Davidovich guest stars.

The Sing-off (8pm, NBC) - The winner of the $200,000 prize and a recording contract is announced in the third season finale.

Terra Nova (8pm, Fox) - Zoe faces a tough choice concerning the dinosaur she's been caring for.

Bored to Death (9pm, HBO) - In the Season 3 finale, George celebrates Emily and Bernard's wedding, and Ray is comforted by his son, Spencer. Meanwhile, Jonathan considers breaking up with his new girlfriend, but when he's kidnapped, an army of Super Ray fans spring into action.

The Closer (9pm, TNT) - The second half of the final season resumes tonight as Brenda and her squad investigate the shooting death of a high school principal whose school is entangled in a scandal.

Enlightened (9:30pm, HBO) - Amy is reported to HR for unsatisfactory performance related to personality clashes in the department, so she appeals to Krista to speak to Damon about finding another position.

Rizzoli & Isles (10pm, TNT) - Also back for the second half of their season, Jane and Maura investigate the shooting of a community activist. Before long, a witness emerges to testify against a notorious gang member and TV host Bill O'Reilly (playing himself) arrives and voices on-air disapproval of the police department.

The Sing-Off (8pm, NBC) - The 10 remaining groups perform guilty-pleasure songs before two acts are eliminated.

Terra Nova (8pm, Fox) - A "Sixer" girl seeks asylum in Terra Nova. Taylor suspects there's at traitor in the ranks and Mira schemes to reclaim a possession.

2 Broke Girls (8:30pm, CBS) - Max and Caroline throw a '90s-themed party at the diner to raise money for their cupcake business, but Caroline is horrified when her rich ex-boyfriend attends the party.

Bored to Death (9pm, HBO) - On the run from police, Jonathan and Ray turn to Howard (Patton Oswalt) for help with trying to find out who framed Jonathan for murder, while George runs interference for them in his own inimitable, marijuana-induced way.

Enlightened (9:30pm, HBO) - Despite being banished to a dead-end job in the basement of Abaddonn, Amy tries to impress a human resources representative with evidence that the company needs to redefine its mission. Elsewhere, Amy seeks to convince Levi to change his ways.

Castle (10pm, ABC) - An insurance investigator assists Castle and Beckett with a homicide case stemming from the theft of a costly sculpture, and a museum benefactor becomes one of the murder suspects.

Hawaii Five-0 (10pm, CBS) - The Five-0 investigates the murder of a volleyball coach and the probe leads the team to discover more bad news about Kono and her ongoing legal problems.

Prohibition (8pm, UNC-TV) - Part 2 of 3 examines the problems that the Volstead Act and prohibition caused, including a possible increase in alcoholism due to women frequenting the illicit speakeasies that replaced male-only saloons; adulterated liquor that poisons some drinkers; and civil rights violations by overzealous federal agents anxious to make arrests. Despite the public's growing opposition to the ban, few politicians dare speak out against it due to the political might of the Anti-Saloon league.

Terra Nova (8pm, Fox) - Jim and Taylor try to save the colony from a legion of pterosaurs. Meanwhile, Elizabeth learns that a former flame is also living in Terra Nova, and Skye tries to help Josh adjust to his new home.

How I Met Your Mother (8pm, CBS) - Robin gets therapy by order of the court when she assaults a woman out to sabotage Barney's relationship, and Ted gets overly involved in Lily's pregnancy.

House (9pm, Fox) - Season 8 opens a year after House drove his car into Cuddy's house, and he's in jail paying for his crime. While there, he tries to diagnose a fellow inmate, which causes problems for a clinic physician (Odette Annable). Meanwhile, when a prison gang leader threatens House, the doctor must seek the assitance of another inmate (Jaleel White). Read more here.

Girl Fight (9pm, Lifetime) - A 16-year-old girl is beaten up by fellow high school students and a tape of the attack soon surfaces on the Internet. Based on a true story and starring Anne Heche and James Tupper.

Introducing Scotty McCreery (9pm, Great American Country) - A half-hour documentary profiling "American Idol" winner Scotty McCreery. Much of the footage was filmed in Garner this summer.

Castle (10pm, ABC) - Castle and Beckett learn about life-extension science and how far people will go for the fountains of youth when they investigate a possible homicide in which there's no body.

Playboy Club (10pm, NBC) - A new Bunny is hired at the club, but she has a hidden agenda. Meanwhile, Maureen gets to know John Bianchi.

Terra Nova (8pm, Fox) - The two-hour premiere of the much anticipated adventure drama from Steven Spielberg. Jason O'Mara ("Life on Mars") stars as a Chicago cop from the 22nd century who travels 85 million years into the past to give his family a better shot at survival (the 2149 earth has become almost unlivable due to overpopulation and pollution). Not usually my kind of show, but I found the pilot to be really exciting. Here's my review. I say give it a shot.

Gossip Girl (8pm, CW) - In the Season 5 opener, Serena makes a big mistake at her new job in Hollywood. Later, Chuck and Nate meet up with her in LA, where Nate is captivated by an older woman (Elizabeth Hurley).

Hart of Dixie (9pm, CW) - A new series about a cold New York City doctor (Rachel Bilson) who moves to a small town in Alabama and gets a dose of humility. The pilot was shot in Wilmington, but should you watch? Adrienne says ...

Mike & Molly (9:30pm, CBS) - In the second season premiere, the engagement honeymoon is over when Molly starts wedding planning while Mike just wants to go fishing with the guys.

Weeds (10pm, Showtime) - In tonight's season finale, Silas is out for revenge against his mom, and there's a big showdown between Nancy and her sister.

The Big C (10:30pm, Showtime) - In this season finale, Cathy decides to run a marathon to honor her dearly departed Lee, and what awaits her at the finish line will upend her life.

Also tonight, "2 Broke Girls" (which is kind of funny!) moves into its regular 8:30pm timeslot (CBS), and new episodes of "Playbunny Club" (10pm, NBC) and "Castle" (10pm, ABC).

Monday, 8 p.m. on Fox

I'm not usually much for futuristic stories or dinosaurs, so "Terra Nova" is exactly the kind of show I shouldn't like, even if it is executive-produced by Steven Spielberg.

But. This has Jason O'Mara ("Life on Mars") who is irresistible, and the show's two-hour pilot is pretty exciting.

"Terra Nova" begins at the dawn of the 22nd century when the world is on the verge of environmental collapse. It's a grim, gray, totalitarian existence. No sunlight, no vegetation, no fresh food. The air is dirty and depleted of oxygen. The only hope for a future is the discovery of a time fracture which allows people to travel 85 million years into the past, to the Terra Nova Project.

The first glitch is our family, the Shannons, have violated strict population control laws by having a third child, and this lands Jim Shannon in prison. His prison-to-Terra-Nova path is the weakest part of the pilot. Luckily, that doesn't take up much time, so don't give up if the beginning drags for you.
