Kennedy funeral airing live on TV, internet now

Senator Ted Kennedy's funeral mass is airing live on all major networks and cable news networks now (10am - 1:15pm). You can also watch online at  NewsObserver.com or at CSPAN.org

President Obama will deliver the eulogy. The funeral is being attended by former Presidents Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush, as well as 58 Senators and other dignitaries. Sen. Kennedy's two sons, Teddy Jr. and  Patrick, will offer remembrances of their father at the service.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, Sen. Kennedy will be buried next to his brothers President John F. Kennedy and Sen. Robert F. Kennedy at Arlington National Cemetery following the funeral this morning in Boston.

Coverage of the Arlington burial will be televised beginning at 3pm on MSNBC, 4pm on CNN, and around 5:30 on CSPAN, NBC and ABC.

Sounds of the Triangle at tonight's Kennedy funeral

Growing up in the Triangle, Durham native Nicholas Kitchen was a child prodigy violinist who played on plenty of prestigious stages. But he'll appear on one of his biggest stages yet tonight -- playing the prelude music at an invitation-only private memorial service for the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy.

Kitchen leads the Borromeo String Quartet, selected by the Kennedy family to play at the service. All four living presidents are expected to attend the service, which will not be open to the public.

Kennedy remembered in TV specials tonight

Networks are announcing special broadcasts remembering Sen. Ted Kennedy, who passed away early this morning.

Katie Couric is hosting a special on CBS called "Ted Kennedy, the Last Brother," which features Kennedy interviews with Ed Bradley and Leslie Stahl. That will air at 8pm.

On ABC, Diane Sawyer and Charlie Gibson will host "Remembering Ted Kennedy" at 10pm.

NBC's Brian Williams is broadcasting a special 1-hour "Nightly News" show live from Hyannis Port.

MSNBC is showing a first look at Chris Matthews' "The Kennedy Brothers: A Hardball Documentary" at 11pm. The documentary is also scheduled to run Thursday night.
