The turkey deals at the supermarkets have begun.
But before you swoon over some of the low prices per pound, be sure to check the fine print. Many of the stores are requiring a sizeable minimum purchase.....in addition to the price of the turkey.

Target announced today that it is closing its North Raleigh store at 4700 Green Road due to its financial performance.
The store, which opened in 1995, will close Jan. 28.
Store employees will be offered the option of transferring to other nearby stores.
Target operates four other stores in Raleigh, including one at North Hills and one at 7900 Old Wake Forest Road.
The company also has Triangle stores in Apex, Durham, Garner, Wake Forest, Knightdale, Cary and Morrisville.
Each of the drugstores has at least one FREE item this week and since FREE is my favorite price I'll be store hopping to pick up a few of my favorites, including three FREE greetings cards at CVS, which is the second week in a row for this deal.
I'm also excited about the prospect of 25-cent Smucker's jam at CVS and cheap Folgers coffee and Triaminic medicines at Walgreens. You might also want to pick up $1 Jif at CVS and $1.50 Arm & Hammer laundry detergent at Rite Aid.
And finally, if you didn't get to Kroger last week, you have a second shot at getting some of the Mega Event deals, including 29-cent Del Monte vegetables. There's also a great buy on olive oil and nice prices on apples, pears, potatoes and Clementines.
Halloween may be over but the Halloween clearance deals have only just begun.
Today's the day to begin haunting those Halloween aisles at Target, WalMart and other stores, looking for costumes, paper products and decorations for next year.
It's beginning to look like you won't need to get up early for Black Friday sales this year. You'll simply have to stay up late to cash in on deals during the first official day of the holiday shopping season.
Macy's announced Monday it will open its doors at midnight Black Friday, the first time ever for the retailer. And now Kohl's has joined in and will also open at midnight.
Target announced today it will open at midnight on Black Friday, the earliest ever for the discount retailer.
The store's hours on Black Friday -- the traditional start of the holiday shopping season -- will be midnight to 11 p.m.
So if Target is on your Black Friday list of places to shop, you can forget a good night's sleep before tackling the shopping list.
By the time you fix Thanksgiving dinner, get the kitchen cleaned up, take a walk and watch a little football, you'll have precious little time to get to the store.
By the way, Black Friday falls on Nov. 25 this year.
You can score FREE items at all three drugstores this week, but, once again, Rite Aid has the most good deals, including an impressive 12 freebies. But be sure to stop in at CVS to get 3 FREE greeting cards, and Walgreens, where apple-cider flavored cough drops are FREE. Read on for a store-by-store breakdown of all the good deals at the drugstores, Target and Kroger.
Note: This is the latest installment in an occasional series of posts focusing on ways to celebrate the holidays without spending a lot of money.
If you've got kids on your Christmas or Hanukah shopping lists this year, you'll want to take a look at a new set of coupons on Hasbro toys and games.
Check your newspapers carefully this morning because many* of you will have a Target ad inserted into today's N&O.
The insert is hard to miss: It looks a lot like a paper sack with groceries peeking out of the top of it.
Head over to the Target freebies site and grab this free sample of Kleenex Cool Touch tissues.
Just to warn you: Samples never last long on the Target site.
With any luck, a high-value coupon will accompany the free sample.
Thanks to pennypinchinmom for this one!
