What to Watch on Sunday: 'Big Love' retrospective, penultimate episode

ACC Tournament (1pm, WRAL) - The championship game between UNC and Duke.

Secret Millionaire (8pm, ABC) - San Diego real estate developer (and occasional Elvis impersonator) Marc Paskin spends a week living on $50 in a run-down Detroit neighborhood, where he finds worthy people to surprise.

Big Love (9pm, HBO) - In the series' penultimate episode, the Henricksons circle the wagons to fend off a threat from a desperate and unpredictable (and psychotic) Alby (Matt Ross, left). Nicki shakes off her traumatic experience to consider putting Cara Lynn in boarding school, and Margene promises to reimburse Pam for her Goji investment. There's a special retrospective of the series airing at 8:30pm, and here's a video recap of last week's episode, "The Noose Tightens."

Celebrity Apprentice (9pm, NBC) - The teams must write an original children's book and then perform the tale for youngsters. One project manager fails to unite their team, and the other group tries to tame a troublemaker.

Taking on Tyson (9pm, Animal Planet) - Mike Tyson and his team go up against two well-known names in their first competition, including a champion pigeon racer.

The Fab Five (9pm, ESPN) - ESPN's documentary about the greatest class of freshmen ewver recruited to play college basketball: 1991's Michigan Wolverines. Here's a great review of this documentary and HBO's "Runnin' Rebels of UNLV" documentary which debuted Saturday night (available in reruns and on demand).

Californication (9pm, Showtime) - The day of Hank's trial begins badly after an uncomfortable encounter with Mia's father in front of the courthouse. Hank's "good" character witnesses then inadvertently destroy him on the stand, revealing him to be the degenerate that he is.

Shameless (10pm, Showtime) - Monica returns and the Gallagher clan are in a tizzy as they try to determine if Frank is their real father. And Fiona, who is thoroughly disgusted with Monica, decides to move in next door with Steve. Also, Eddie invites Karen to a Purity Ball.

Seeking redemption amid pigeon poo in "Taking on Tyson"

I find Mike Tyson fascinating. His mix of menace, sweetness, crudeness, shyness, gallant and studied speech, humor, tragedy...it's all riveting. Forget his prowess in the ring, the fact that he's still alive and functioning shows his champion strength.

And so, because he's at the center of "Taking on Tyson" (Animal Planet, 10 tonight), I'm all in. The series chronicles the retired boxer's return to competition in the form of pigeon racing in the New York area.

Tyson has long kept a coop and the birds; birds (although not racing them) were his passion before boxing. Indeed, Tyson reveals that the first punch he ever threw was after a bully killed one of his pigeons and threw the bloody carcass in his face.

What to Watch on Sunday: Slew of new shows premiere tonight

America's Next Great Restaurant (8pm, NBC) - The premiere of a new reality show in which contestants compete to launch a new restaurant chain. Tonight, 21 aspiring restauranteurs pitch their concepts cook items from their menu. 11 contestants will be eliminated. Bobby Flay, Curtis Stone, Steve Ellis and Lorena Garcia serve as investors and mentors. They had a casting call for this show in Raleigh last year, so it'll be interesting to see if anyone from here made it.

Secret Millionaire (8pm, ABC) - Another new reality series. In this one, wealthy people live and work anonymously alongside less fortunate people before revealing their true identities and donating aid to deserving recipients. Tonight we see millionaire Dani Johnson, who says she was on welfare as a child, doing minimum wage work in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Celebrity Apprentice (9pm, NBC) - Sixteen celebrities engage in business-themed battles to win the top job as Donald Trump's apprentice (really, the big prize is a few months of publicity). Tonight, the stars must manage a New York City pizzeria. Here's more info on the C R A Z Y cast.

Army Wives (9pm, Lifetime) - In the Season 5 opener, Denise prepares to meet Jeremy's fiance while caring for her newborn and Emmalin leaves for college.

Daniel Tosh: Happy Thoughts (9pm, Comedy Central) - Daniel Tosh ('Tosh.0') performs in San Francisco and talks about celebrities, sports, immigration, the Amish, and Mormons.
