What to Watch on Thursday: It's Ladies Night at the Winter Olympics

Winter Olympics (NBC) -  Gold is on the line for Rachael Flatt (right), Mirai Nagasu, and Kim Yu-Na in figure skating. Also, women's cross country and free skate, women's curling, and women's hockey (gold and bronze games). Full schedule.

American Idol (8pm, Fox) - Four contestants are voted out tonight -- two guys and two girls.

Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains (8pm, CBS) - James gets overly physical in a challenge, and a female contestant identifies a threat and seeks to eliminate her rival. Someone goes home.

Burn Notice (10pm, USA) - No, it's not a reality show about sunglasses. It's the eighth highest rated show on cable. People love it. The New York Post calls it "a lot of fun." Tonight, Fi deals with a paranoid kidnapper and Michael tries to take down a black ops rival, but the situation gets out of control.

'Survivor': Kryptonite and Crybabyitis

The weather's bad and the attitudes are worse on the second episode of the All-Star, Heroes vs. Villains Laff-A-Lympics.

A top Villain comes out looking pretty savvy, while a Hero shows a heretofore-unseen nasty side.

Plus, our Tar Heel homegirl Candice finds herself in the unlikely role of kingmaker on the Heroes tribe. And a virulant strain of Crybabyitis spreads rapidly across the island.

What to Watch on Thursday: Shotgun wedding on "Private Practice"

Winter Olympics (NBC) - Figure skating, speed skating, snowboarding. Full schedule.

Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains (8pm, CBS) - Boston Rob passes out in the jungle and needs medical help. Someone goes home. There are two contestants from NC this season! Check back tomorrow for our recap.

Past Life (9pm, Fox) - The team discovers that two people experiencing the same regressions are actually star-crossed lovers who find each other in each new life.

Private Practice (10pm, ABC) - Babies having babies... Naomi still won't help with the wedding plans of her pregnant teenage daughter, Maya, who is set to marry her baby's father, Dink (right).

Burn Notice (10pm, USA) - "Burn Notice" finally get its "infiltrate the fashion world" episode.

"Survivor": Heroes, Villains and egos. Lots and lots of egos.

For its 10th anniversary and 20th installment, "Survivor" isn't messing around with a bunch of unknown L.A. bartenders, models and hangers-on.

Instead, it has brought back some of its most memorable cast members from seasons past (many now sorta-known L.A. bartenders, models and hangers-on who were once on a reality show.)

The 20 cast members are divided into two teams -- Heroes and Villains -- and the first episode doesn't disappoint. Within the first few minutes we have a dislocated body part, a broken body part and several gratuitously pixelated body parts.

What to Watch on Thursday: "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" brings back faves

Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains (8pm, CBS) - The show's 20th installment has 20 former castaways on the island of Samoa and divided into groups of Heroes and Villians. Rupert (right) is one of the show's most popular Heroes.

Parks and Recreation (8:30pm, NBC) - Leslie tracks down her mom's old flame, played by John Larroquette, and Andy's band plays at a senior center.

The Office (9pm, NBC) - The CEO of Sabre (Kathy Bates) opposes the idea of two branch  managers, so either Michael or Jim must return to sales.

Grey's Anatomy (9pm, ABC) - You knew last week when they introduced a new handsome black anesthesiologist into the mix that Bailey would end up dating him.

Past Life (9pm, Fox) - This new show (about a psychologist and a cop who help people solve "past-life" mysteries) debuted Tuesday night after "Idol" and there's already a second episode. This is its regular night and time.

What to Watch on Sunday: Survivor finale, Green Beret documentary

Survivor: Samoa (8pm, CBS) - The finalists are questioned by jury members, who cast votes for their favorite. The winner is announced in the Samoa Reunion show at 10pm.

Two Weeks in Hell (8pm, Discovery) - Discovery looks at the grueling two-week selection process for Green Beret recruits.

Kendra (9pm, E!) - The second season (honestly, I don't understand it either) chronicling the daily life of former Playboy Playmate (and Hefner honey) Kendra Wilkinson and her husband, pro footballer Hank Baskett

The Jacksons (10pm, A&E) - The brothers are all traveling abroad, working on various projects in London, Nigeria, and Mumbai.

Secrets of the Secret Service (10pm, Discovery) - Should we really know the secrets of the Secret Service?

What to Watch on Thursday: Private Practice returns with baby drama

Survivor: Samoa (8pm, CBS) - At the reward challenge, one of the tribal leaders makes a controversial decision that lands him in hot water. Meanwhile, Jaison tries to build an alliance against Evil Russell. Russell is the one who formed himself a "Dumb Ass Girl Alliance" (left) on the first show, and totally made up a heartbreaking story about living in New Orleans during Katrina and losing his beloved German Shepherd in a muddy flood. Never lived in New Orleans. Never had a dog. All a lie. He is evil.

Parks and Recreation (8:30pm, NBC) - Leslie judges the Miss Pawnee beauty pageant and clashes with other judges on the issue of what defines the "ideal woman." We're assuming her notion involves being able to rock Fresh Prince lyrics around the office.

Private Practice (10pm, ABC) - Season 3 begins tonight with Violet (Amy Brenneman) struggling to survive a C-section/assault at the hands of a crazy person who stole her baby. Tonight, the baby and the attacker are missing. Violet spends the first part of the season dealing with all this, and they'll also reveal the identity of the baby's father later in the season.

Real Housewives of Atlanta (10pm, Bravo) - NeNe, who we are SO sick of, breaks away from the other women in the wake of her fights with Kandi and Kim. Kandi and Kim keep working on their "Tardy for the Party" single, and Big Papa has a big surprise for Kim at her birthday party. Sheree heads to NYC to work on her clothing line.

What to Watch on Thursday: Big night of premieres on NBC and Fox

Survivor: Samoa (8pm, CBS) - Hard to believe, but this is the 19th season of "Survivor." Tonight, right after being divided into two tribes but before they are even given a chance to speak to each other, they are charged with electing a chief who will make all their decisions.

Bones (8pm, Fox) - The fifth season premieres with Booth (David Boreanaz) fresh from surgery to remove a brain tumor, but suffering from bouts of amnesia. Angela's psychic, played by Cyndi Lauper, tells them there are bodies buried under a fountain in Washington, D.C., so Booth and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) are back on the job asap.

Fringe (9pm, Fox) - Congress is all up in the Fringe unit's Kool-Aid in tonight's second season premiere. In addition to the scrutiny from congress, Olivia returns to familiar surroundings, but there's a "mysterious entity" tracking her. Olivia also gets to add "super hearing" to her trick bag this season.

SNL, Parks & Recreation, The Office, Community (8pm-10pm, NBC) - Tonight is NBC's big comedy debut night, starting with "SNL Weekend Update" at 8pm. Amy Poehler will join Seth Myers at the Update desk for the first two weeks. Next is the second season premiere of "Parks & Recreation," in which Leslie (Poehler) accidentally tries to "gay marry" two penguins in a publicity stunt. Comedian Louis C.K. joins the cast as a love interest for Leslie. At 9pm, "The Office" season 6 opens with Dunder-Mifflin staffers gossiping about summer interns. Michael (Steve Carell) feels left out so he goes out looking for a rumor to spread. Then at 9:30 it's the premiere of NBC's new sitcom "Community," starring Joel McHale and Chevy Chase. Here's our full review, but in a nutshell: it's funny.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (10pm, FX) - Season 5 opens with Frank, Mac, and Dennis trying their hand at real estate (great timing) and Dee decides to be a surrogate for a rich couple.

Survivor: Contestant abducted by Amazon Aborigines

Tonight's Survivor was a gift. The generous but insane giver? Coach.

Right off the bat he shares a truly unbelievable story of how he was once captured by a gang of Aborigines in the Amazon jungle, then tied up and beaten nearly to death. But he valiantly escaped and paddled his little kayak to safety. Oh yeah, he was dropped off in the Amazon (for free, because he pulled some strings) by a US Military helicopter. And National Geographic had begged him to let them accompany him on this trip but he told them no way, "this trip is about me."

What isn't about you?

Joe blows complicated 'Survivor' plot

Last night we got a heaping dose of Coach in all his megalomaniacal glory -- complete with a lot of pretenious pontificating, his creepy shoulder rubs, and that whole ridiculous Dragonslayer vibe. And don't forget the hair.  Even Brandon mimicked Coach's constant hair-stroking and flipping.

But Assistant Coach Tyson is quickly closing in on the Soccer Samarai as the creepiest/most laughable Survivor contestant in recent history. Did Tyson really have to say that he has kissed Brandon on the "nape of his neck" and "the small of his back?" Because I don't believe that.
