I'm back from my holiday break with fantastic news for coupon shoppers.

You'll find six -- yes, you read that right -- six coupon inserts in this Sunday's home-delivered Final Edition of The News & Observer.

And with Super Doubles at Harris Teeter on-going, it couldn't have come at a better time.

There are two Red Plum inserts, three Smart Source inserts and one small Target insert for a combined total of 302 coupons with a face value of more than $415.

I'll be back to my usual routine of having the 
coupon database updated and the best Sunday deals posted early Sunday morning, about the same time your paper hits the driveway.


This Sunday, I'll also have a separate post matching up the new coupons with Harris Teeter's sales so you can maximize your savings during the last half of its Super Doubles promo.

The News & Observer's  coupon database has been updated.

Though there were no coupon inserts in this Sunday's home-delivered Final Edition of The News & Observer, I've removed the 100 coupons that expired last week, marked this week's expiring coupons in bold, and added the two high-value P&G coupons we received in the Parade magazine.

It's sad but true -- there won't be any coupon inserts in this Sunday's N&O.

However,  you will find two high-value Procter & Gamble coupons in Sunday's Parade magazine.

Take advantage of the lull in coupon distribution to enjoy family and friends, and, if you're anything like me, play catch-up on your coupon clipping and organizing from previous weeks.

I'll update the coupon database, as usual, early Sunday morning.

A big heads up for folks who are buying toys this Christmas.

There's a coupon in today's Smart Source insert for a free Hasbro building toy valued at up to $3.49.

The coupon says "Get one (1) FREE Kreon Micro-Changers Figure."

The advertisement says these toys are compatible with other brands of building sets, which leads me to believe they will work with Legos.

The News & Observer's  coupon database has been updated with all of the new coupons.

This Sunday's home-delivered Final Edition of The News & Observer contains three inserts -- one Smart Source, one Red Plum and a small Target insert. There are also two coupon in Parade magazine this weekend.

Altogether, there are 166 coupons to clip with a combines total value of more than $170.

There were also three Duracell coupons from a one-page insert in Thanksgiving Day's paper.
