Check out the new Centsible Saver blog

We have unveiled the new frugal living blog to replace Taking Stock: Centsible Saver.

Amy Dunn has taken over for Sue Stock with now Sunday and Wednesday Deals, the coupon database, daily freebie deals and a Deal of the Day roundup.

Super Doubles starts tomorrow at Harris Teeter

Added Deal of the Day link under Sue Stock's links

N&O retail reporter Sue Stock does a good job of tracking the deals by Groupon, Living Social and Twongo, so I added a link to the left of Sue's photo: Deal of the Day. Enjoy!

Need help on your resolution to spend less money?

If you resolved to be more budget concious in 2011, you may be interested in a series of posts that N&O retail reporter Sue Stock wrote about financial planning.

Go HERE to read the first post and click on "financial planning" to read all of them.

Also Sue shared her Super Tracker Excel spreadsheet for calculating her savings in 2011. If you want an easier spreadsheet, you can go to her earlier post about tracking savings.

I think I might try to do this. I've wondered how much I'm saving these days via coupons and shopping sales. Hopefully, if I keep my resolution, I'll be able to report back.

Sue has posted Wednesday Deals

Sue Stock has posted today's Wednesday Deals.

I wanted to point out one item that is a very good price at Harris Teeter during Super Doubles but that I haven't seen since on any lists: Baker's Joy, the flour-infused baking spray is only 89 cents if you still have any of those $1 coupons.

As a baker, I like to stock up on that stuff. Happy deal shopping!

No Wednesday Deals today but...

I also liked this post about the analysis in the Wall Street Journal on the value of couponing.

And I may have to tune in to see a new show airing tonight on TLC called "Extreme Couponing."  Read Sue's post about it HERE.
