Annual lobster fest in Cary on Oct. 6

St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Cary is hosting its annual Lobster Fest from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 6.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the church, at 221 Union St., serves dine-in meals, including 1 1/2-pound Maine lobsters plus sides, rolls, drink and dessert for $22, or a quarter-pound lobster roll on a La Farm Bakery brioche roll for $13. For those who turn up their nose at lobster, there's are chicken meals for adults for $10 and for children for $5.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., you can pick up take-home meals. And from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., you can take home live or cooked lobsters for $17 and $19 respectively. Pre-orders are recommended by Wednesday and can be made online at  www.lobsterfestcary.com.

The event raises money for the Frankie Lemmon Foundation, Shiners' Children Hospitals and other causes.
