Locked Up Abroad (9pm, National Geographic Channel) - The seventh season opens with a profile of two American soldiers who were kept as POWs during the Vietnam War: Ernie Brace and John McCain. A new episode at 10 focuses on a reptile smuggler.
Suburgatory (8pm, ABC) - Season 2 ends with two new episodes. At 8, George breaks the news to Tessa that he has sold their house. At 8:30, Shelia pushes a chastity campaign in Chatswin, and Tessa moves out when George buys
Dallas her dream home.
Southland (10pm, TNT) - In the Season 5 finale, John (Michael Cudlitz, right) deals with fallout from his kidnapping. Also, Lydia tracks John's kidnappers while becoming more intimate with an old friend and Sammy draws closer to robbers. Nothing is official, but it's looking like this could be the final season for "Southland" (several stars have signed up for new series). If it's really over, I'll miss it like crazy -- it's one of the absolute best shows on television -- but I'm also so grateful TNT picked it up after it was dumped by NBC.
Psych (10pm, USA) - Shawn revisits a case involving a mysterious Swedish woman and imagines how he'd do things differently at the start of his investigation.
The Americans (10pm, FX) - Elizabeth requires Philip's help to complete a dangerous mission.
Off Pitch (10pm, VH1) - The highs and lows of a Wisconsin-based show choir called the Grand River Singers are charted in this new reality show.
Southland (10pm, TNT) - Officers Cooper (Michael Cudlitz) and Lucero (Anthony Ruivivar), left, are kidnapped and held hostage, and all the cops are on the case in a desperate scramble to rescue them. Elsewhere, Ben deals with an increasingly erratic girlfriend.
How to Live with Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life) (9:30pm, ABC) - This new sitcom will be lucky if from here on out I type "How to Live With Your Parents," because how obnoxious is that long title?? Anyway, this overly titled new sitcom has a young single mom (Sarah Chalke) moving back home to live with her eccentric parents (Elizabeth Perkins and Brad Garrett). I'm not a fan of the voice-over narration, but it has some funny bits.
The Neighbors (8:30pm, ABC) - In the Season 1 finale, the Weavers take the Bird-Kersees to Atlantic City, where Marty is amazed to find out that Larry Bird can count -- and see through -- cards, and Jackie expresses a desire for a human wedding. Meanwhile, back home, Dick Butkus gets an ominous call from his grandfather, played by George Takei, left. Will the Zabvronians have to go back home? (Please, no.) "The Middle," "Modern Family" and "Suburgatory" are all new tonight.
The Neighbors (8:30pm, ABC) - Debbie starts a business making purses with help from Jackie, whose negotiating skills come in handy -- until they promise more products than they can deliver.
The Neighbors (8:30pm, ABC) - The Bird-Kersees see a Broadway show in New York City, and Larry is so inspired he decides to create a musical of his own, but a 911 call after an emergency tests the limits of their contact with the outside world. The episode features original songs by Academy Award-winning composer Alan Menken ("The Little Mermaid").
Suburgatory (9:30pm, ABC) - Dalia (Carly Chaikin) helps Mr. Wolfe (Red Lee) get over his breakup with Chef Alan by changing his appearance and, for good measure, plotting a little revenge to mend his broken heart.
work and personal lives of Boston cops. It's co-executive produced by Donnie Wahlberg, who also narrates the series.
Nova: The Mind of a Rampage Killer (9pm, UNC-TV) - As part of PBS' week of After Newtown coverage, Miles O'Brien examines the possible motivations of rampage killers, including the theory that they're driven by the desire to die, not kill, but want to go out making headlines.
Survivor: Caramoan - Fans vs. Favorites (8pm, WRAL) and College Basketball: Carolina at Duke (9pm, WRAL) - The battle of the blues means no new "CSI" at 10pm and an abbreviated season premiere of "Survivor: Caramoan - Fans vs. Favorites" at 8. The "Survivor" premiere runs 90 minutes, so here are your options: You can watch the first hour at 8 and then record the last half hour at 2 a.m on WRAL, or you can watch the full 90-minute "Survivor" on WRAL2 (5.2 or TWC 106) at the regular 8 p.m. airtime. "Big Bang Theory" (a repeat) will air at 2:30 a.m. on WRAL and the new "CSI" will air on WRAL at 3 a.m. You can also watch tomorrow on CBS.com. There's more information
